According to the news I am sharing, the Los Angeles Rams have an \u201cinterest\u201d in Ty Simpson, but there is a but (plus even the \u201cinterest\u201d part in Simpson may be false<\/a>). The but being that the Rams likely do not want to spend their 13th pick (or higher) on Simpson when they can likely add someone who can help the roster now.<\/p>\n

Of couse, Simpson as a backup to Matthew Stafford sounds nice, but how much does it help the Rams in 2026? And that\u2019s something to keep thinking about, are the Rams going to draft a backup QB in a year where they are going all in?<\/p>\n

You could draft Simpson in case Stafford gets hurt, but if Stafford goes down, L.A.\u2019s season is likely over from a Super Bowl perspective.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s interesting, but as it stands, tell me this? Is L.A. more likely to take a reciever at 13, or a quarterback? Maybe neither.<\/p>\n

Draft time is always an interesting one.<\/p>\n

The Rams have been linked to Simpson more than once this offseason, reportedly showing interest in the Alabama quarterback. That doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re going to take him, but he\u2019s someone they could at least consider.\u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ringer\u2019s draft guru shared Simpon\u2019s market at the upcoming draft and set the table for the Rams to potentially select him with the 61st overall pick.<\/p>\n

McShay rates Simpson as the No. 2 quarterback prospect on his big board at The Ringer, even though he is a bit undersized (6-1), only started one season at Alabama and is \u201caggressive to a fault,\u201d according to McShay.\u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cDavante Adams isn\u2019t going anywhere. At least, that is what the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> brass has attempted to communicate to Adams and the general public. However, by addressing the possibility, it\u2019s clear that Les Snead is thinking about the possibility of moving on from the 2025 leader in receiving touchdowns at some point.<\/p>\n
