That included hosting a local Pro Day on Tuesday.

In total, New England played host to 27 different players, who either played at local colleges in New England or grew up in the area. The majority of those in attendance are considered either late-round or potential undrafted free agents. So, the hope is to find some overlooked talent locally.

The Patriots kept the event behind closed doors. So, not much is known about how individuals performed, but it was clearly an important day for those players in attendance.

The 2026 NFL Draft will begin on April 23rd in Pittsburgh. There, the team has 11 total picks, beginning with the 31st overall pick in the first round.

Looking at the Prospects the New England Patriots Hosted

GettyNew England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel

In total, 27 players were in attendance at the Pro Day. The New England Football Journal compiled a list of all those who were in attendance, and it can be seen here:

DB Elias Archie (Brown)
DB Shahid Barros (Iowa)
OL Kevin Cline (Boston College)
OL Greg Crippen (Michigan)
WR Eamonn Dennis (Ohio)
RB Greg Desrosiers (Memphis)
TE Eni Falayi (Wake Forest)
TE Ademola Faleye (Washington State)
TE Jeremiah Franklin (Boston College)
DB Malcolm Greene (UMass)
DL T.J. A couple of weeks ago, Mike Vrabel attended Boston College’s Pro Day and was even seen shaking Taylor’s hand. With 11 picks and the offensive line considered a major need for the team, Taylor is a player worth keeping an eye on.

In total, five offensive linemen were in attendance. Other positions of need for the Patriots include wide receiver and edge rushers. There were also five receivers and four defensive linemen there.

Rumors Surrounding the Patriots’ First-Round Pick

GettyGeneral Manager Eliot Wolf of the New England Patriots speaks to the media during the 2025 NFL Combine

The New England Patriots are going to have plenty of options with their first-round pick. That includes offensive line, edge rusher, and wide receiver. What direction they end up going is likely going to come down to who is available at the time. Recent mock drafts have suggested that it could be CJ Allen, a linebacker from Georgia, or even Zion Young, an edge rusher from Missouri.

Dan Morrison After graduating from UMass in 2019, Dan Morrison quickly began a career in sports journalism and digital media.
