Jennings has spent his entire career with the San Francisco 49ers and hasn’t been able to find a home due to his asking price. Coming off a strong 2025 campaign, hauling in 55 receptions for 643 yards and nine touchdowns in 15 games and starts, the receiver is struggling to find the right fit. The wideout can receive interest, but he might have to take a bargain before it’s too late.

The NFL Draft is around the corner, and the longer he waits, Jennings probably won’t play this upcoming season. Originally selected in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the former Tennessee product has established himself as a capable starter. With 49ers losing Brandon Aiyuk due to injuries, Jennings stepped in as WR1 and has been an exclusive playmaker for Brock Purdy’s offense.

Top NFL Free Agent Jauan Jennings “Asking for Too Much Money” – Three Teams Likely Willing to Pay Up

However, the receiver has had his fair share of injuries. Most notably, this past season, Jennings suffered multiple high/low ankle sprains, shoulder injuries, and a previous concussion. This might be the reason why teams aren’t willing to cash in on the receiver, but he’s been one of the more consistent ball catchers before the injuries.

In 2024, Jennings took advantage and went on to record a career-high 77 receptions for 975 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games and 10 starts. Unfortunately for the 28-year-old, the time is ticking, but these three teams should be able to work out a temporary deal. He will need to accept at least a one-year prove-it contract before he gets a chance to break the receiver market.

Possible Fits
New England Patriots

Despite signing Romeo Doubs, the Patriots are probably far from over. The team released Stefon Diggs earlier this offseason and is trying to build a strong supporting cast for quarterback Drake Maye. Jennings is the perfect WR2 to pair with Doubs in this situation. It’s hard to see Kayshon Boutte receive fewer reps, but it shouldn’t affect much.

Boutte is one of the most underrated pass-catchers, given his size and versatility. However, the Patriots are looking for length in their playmakers. Jennings would be more of an upgrade over Mack Hollins, who had somewhat of a decent 2025 season.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are probably one of the teams that lowballed Jennings. The team has the financial means to afford a high-stakes receiver, and they can’t afford to lean on KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Tre Harris. It’s too much responsibility at this stage in their career. Ladd McConkey is the Chargers’ best receiver, and that’s troubling for a top 5 quarterback like Justin Herbert.

The team needs to address the issue now if they want to go further in the postseason. Quentin Johnston is showing improvement, but nothing on the level that would earn him a long-term deal. Jennings is easily the better receiver than Johnston.

Los Angeles Rams

With the Rams rebuilding soon, it wouldn’t be surprising if Sean McVay adds him right before the 2026 season. The team traded for Trent McDuffie and signed Jaylen Watson, which means they’re heading towards another legitimate run towards the Super Bowl. This is likely Matthew Stafford’s last season, so the team needs to be put in the best spot to win.

The Rams admitted that they tried to trade Davante Adams in exchange for AJ Brown, but they could settle for Jennings as the replacement for the long haul of this new offense that will see a new quarterback in 2027.

Probably one of the most shocking developments across the league is that the NFL’s top free agent, Jauan…

[2064
5305,241,5403,5430,7,10117,470,114345,1014,262,4200,2453,2444,2443,726,6,835,3995,1137
0":"post-861319","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-los-angeles-chargers","8":"tag-brandon-aiyuk","9":"tag-chargers","10":"tag-chargers-featured","11":"tag-davante-adams","12":"tag-football","13":"tag-jauan-jennings","14":"tag-ladd-mcconkey","15":"tag-lastest-nfl-news","16":"tag-los-angeles","17":"tag-los-angeles-chargers","18":"tag-los-angeles-rams-news","19":"tag-los-angeles-chargers-news","20":"tag-losangeles","21":"tag-losangeleschargers","22":"tag-new-england-patriots-news","23":"tag-nfl","24":"tag-nfl-news","25":"tag-romeo-doubs","26":"tag-san-francisco-49ers-news
["GET
