Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys<\/a> have had a solid but under-the-radar NFL offseason thus far.<\/p>\n Heading into the 2026 offseason, many expected the Cowboys to pursue a blockbuster move. They were involved in the rumor mill connected to players like Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson, but neither of those moves were made.<\/p>\n To this point, the biggest move that Dallas has made was the trade to acquire pass rusher Rashan Gary from the Green Bay Packers<\/a> in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick. The Cowboys have also signed safety Jalen Thompson, cornerback Cobie Durant, and a few other players.<\/p>\n With that being said, there are still plenty of ways for Dallas to improve its roster.<\/p>\n One of those avenues will be the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft later this month. Jones and the Cowboys hold two first-round picks at No. 12 overall and No. 20 overall. The expectation is that Dallas will focus on improving its defense in the first round.<\/p>\n Cowboys Reportedly Showing Interest in Potential Impact Cornerback<\/p>\n As shared by Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys have visited with South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse.<\/p>\n \u201cAdd South Carolina CB Brandon Cisse to the list of 30 visits by the Cowboys,\u201d Watkins wrote<\/a>. \u201cVisited The Star last week.\u201d<\/p>\n Improving the secondary was one of the biggest priorities heading into the offseason for Dallas. Jones has added a few veteran pieces to the defensive secondary, but should still look for a young cornerback who could develop into a No. 1 option down the road.<\/p>\n Cisse could very well become that kind of player.<\/p>\n What Would Brandon Cisse Bring to the Dallas Defense?<\/p>\n The Ringer\u2019s Todd McShay has provided his opinion about Cisse. He offered a few thoughts about where he sees Cisse beginning his NFL career.<\/p>\n \u201cCisse doesn\u2019t have first-round experience, tape, or production, but his upside makes him a top-10 corner and potentially a top-50 prospect in this class,\u201d McShay wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n McShay continued on, revealing that he could see Cisse developing into a starter.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s more likely than not that Cisse will play in sub-packages and on special teams as a rookie,\u201d he wrote. \u201cBut he could develop into a starter if the game slows down for him and his technique improves.\u201d<\/p>\n Obviously, those are not the most glowing words from the NFL Draft expert. McShay does see some upside for Cisse, but it\u2019s clear that he doesn\u2019t view him as a top-tier cornerback in the 2026 NFL Draft class.<\/p>\n It will be interesting to see where Cisse ends up being drafted.
