Despite missing 10 games and the final eight of the 2026 season, Wilson still led the Jets in receiving yards (395).

It’s unlikely they would select a wide receiver at No. 2 overall in this month’s draft. But it’s a possibility at No. 16 or No. 33 (the first pick in the second round).

Jets coach Aaron Glenn says he is confident in the group of receivers they have on the roster.

“I look forward to seeing what AD [Mitchell] is going to do,” Glenn said last week at the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix. “Going through OTAs, going through the workout program and understanding exactly how we go about doing things.

“I think it takes that summertime to be able to bond with your teammates and then get into the season. And Isaiah, obviously, he’s our punt returner, but seeing him in the slot and being able to do some things. I like where our receiver room is.”

Glenn may like where the Jets receiver room is, but it is undeniable that this year’s draft features a strong talent group that could interest the Jets. Here are some of the players they could look at to add firepower to an offense that finished dead last in passing yards a season ago.

MAKAI LEMON, USC

Lemon may be the best option for the Jets. The question is, will he be there when they select at No. 16?

The Dolphins (11th overall) or the Rams (13th overall) could target Lemon, who has been compared to fellow former Trojan Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Lemon, 21, who won the 2025 Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best receiver, is one of the most polished pass-catchers in this year’s class. He is a high-volume receiver who does his best work in the slot. But don’t let the 5-11, 192-pound frame fool you, Lemon plays much bigger with his ability to go over the middle and catch the football at its highest point over taller defenders.

Last season for the Trojans, Lemon registered 79 catches for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns. Lemon would be an excellent plug-and-play receiver who would elevate the rest of the Jets offense, including Wilson.

JORDYN TYSON, ARIZONA STATE

Just from a talent perspective, Tyson, 21, is arguably the best receiver in this year’s draft. The 6-2, 203-pound Sun Devils’ star can play all three receiver positions while also being a smooth route runner who loves going up to get 50-50 contested passes.

The problem is that Tyson missed several games at Arizona State due to injuries, including a collarbone injury (2024) and a hamstring injury (2025). While at Colorado during his freshman season in 2022, Tyson suffered a torn ACL, MCL and PCL.

In nine games last season, Tyson finished with 61 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns. If he’s there at No. 16, the Jets have to seriously consider drafting him. Tyson may not have blazing speed, but his ability to separate with his route running would take a lot of pressure off Wilson and the rest of the receiving corps.

DENZEL BOSTON, WASHINGTON

The Jets could use a big red zone threat after finishing 29th in points scored last season (17.6). That’s why Boston, 22, who has 14 of his 20 career touchdowns in the red zone, would provide a considerable upgrade.

Scouts have concerns about his speed, but Boston’s large frame (6-4, 212-pound) helps him attack the ball in coverage. He also has a great blend of physicality and versatility to go along with that size. That makes him an exciting prospect who could be a mainstay as an outside receiver in the NFL.

In 12 games, Boston finished with 62 catches for 881 and 11 touchdowns last year for the Huskies. With his style of play, Boston would fit in well with Wilson, Mitchell, and the rest of the Jets offense.

CHRIS BELL, LOUISVILLE

Bell visited the Jets on Tuesday before taking another one of his top 30 visits with the Colts later this week, according to NFL Media. He was a first-round lock until tearing his ACL last November.

During the pre-draft process, Bell has been working to return to form following his injury. However, his tear was “believed to be clean,” according to ESPN.

Bell, 21, has everything teams want in a receiver. At 6-2, 220 pounds, he is a physically imposing player who can run through and away from defenders.

Before his ACL injury, Bell was having the best season of his college career. In 11 games, he recorded 72 catches for 917 yards and six touchdowns. If the Jets want to wait until No. 33 to select a receiver, Bell could potentially be a steal in the second round.

OMAR COOPER JR., INDIANA

Cooper’s draft stock took a meteoric rise during Indiana’s national championship run, the NFL Combine, Pro Day and workouts. He was viewed as a mid-round draft pick, but now he could be selected in the mid-to-late first round.

Cooper, 22, racked up 69 receptions for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games for the Hoosiers while showing potential as a top receiving prospect. The 6-0, 199-pound prospect was a slot receiver last season, but Cooper also has experience playing on the outside.

Cooper works well in zone coverages and over the middle of the field on slants and crossing routes. He also enjoys getting physical with defenders, which helps him gain separation.

Cooper, along with Tyson, Lemon, Boston, and Bell, figures to be an option either at No. 16 or with the No. 33 pick.

A month after the start of free agency, the Jets still have a wide receiver problem.
