The Tennessee Titans appear to be interested in one of the Tennessee Volunteers\u2019 former players ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft and undrafted free agent signing period. According to a report from Justin Melo of NFL Draft on SI<\/a>, the Titans have invited former Vols defensive lineman Tyre West to the team\u2019s local Pro Day.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear exactly when this local pro day will be held, but the NFL Draft is rapidly approaching. The event is set to take place in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.<\/p>\n

West spent all four of his collegiate years at Tennessee from 2022 to 2025. He played in 11 or more games each season, racking up 65 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection. He put together his best season as a senior in 2025 with 23 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks.<\/p>\n

West\u2019s best stretch of the season came in games against Georgia and Mississippi State. He racked up a season-high seven tackles against Georgia. While he only recorded three tackles against Mississippi State, he made them count. West tallied two sacks and one forced fumble against the Bulldogs in Starkville.<\/p>\n

State had just successfully ran a fake punt. Momentum was shifting. The very next play, Tyre West says \u201cFine, I\u2019ll do it myself\u201d.<\/p>\n

West was a late addition to the Senior Bowl workouts back in January, but made a quick impact during the actual game. On the opening play of the contest, West burst through the American Team\u2019s offensive line and picked up a tackle for loss on a run play up the middle. West wrapped up the running back and single-handedly took him down for a loss of two yards. The former Vol was a starting defensive lineman despite missing some of the practice days earlier in the week.<\/p>\n

On Mar. 30, ESPN\u2019s Matt Miller<\/a> released his full seven-round mock draft for this April\u2019s NFL Draft. He had five Tennessee players projected on his list, including Jermod McCoy and Colton Hood in the first round, Chris Brazzell in the third round, Joshua Josephs in the fourth round, and Bryson Eason in the sixth round. Tyre West was not included in that list.<\/p>\n

If the Titans or another team end up liking West during the pre-draft process, he could sneak into the back end of the draft. However, he could wind up being signed as an undrafted free agent after the conclusion of the event. With the NFL Draft ending on April 25, teams can begin signing undrafted players immediately afterwards.<\/p>\n
