Could the Bills<\/a> be looking to bolster their receiving corps this offseason, even after acquiring Chicago Bears<\/a> wide receiver DJ Moore<\/a> at the onset of free agency? They traded a second-round pick in 2026 to bring Moore to Buffalo. If the Bills are serious about making a Super Bowl run and want to give Josh Allen<\/a> more playmakers at his disposal, they could trade this year\u2019s first-round pick for another standout wide receiver.<\/p>\n There are a handful of players who could still be traded before the NFL<\/a> draft begins on April 23. Fox Sports NFL reporter Ralph Vacchiano has a specific player in mind for the Bills to consider adding to their roster.<\/p>\n Bills Trade Pitch Sends Brian Thomas Jr. to Buffalo<\/p>\n Vacchiano published an article on Wednesday where he proposed a trade for every team to consider before<\/a> the draft. In his scenario, the Bills sent a 2026 first-round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> in exchange for wide receiver Brian Thomas<\/a> Jr.<\/p>\n \u201cYes, the Bills already got WR D.J. Moore<\/a> from Chicago for a second-round pick. But they need to do better for QB Josh Allen<\/a>, so why not go all-in on their biggest need and turn it into a strength,\u201d Vacchiano wrote? \u201cThe Jags say they won\u2019t trade Thomas, even after a terrible season, but they don\u2019t have a first-round pick, so if the Bills dangle their first-rounder, maybe Jacksonville will change its mind. With Allen, two top receivers and RB James Cook<\/a>, the Bills\u2019 offense might be impossible to stop. And if they can finally end their Super Bowl drought, it would be well worth the price.\u201d<\/p>\n Jacksonville selected Thomas in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he had an impressive first season, recording 1,282 receiving yards and scoring 10 touchdowns over the course of 17 games. However, his game fell off last season under first-year head coach Liam Coen, as he recorded only 707 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 14 games.<\/p>\n Jaguars Have Showed Zero Signs of Trading Thomas<\/p>\n Suppose the Jaguars are considering trading Thomas; doing so before the NFL draft might be their best option to secure a deal. Yet, their general manager James Gladstone wasn\u2019t in favor of trading<\/a> Thomas a month ago.<\/p>\n \u201cI know the word \u2018reputable\u2019 came up earlier [in a previous question]. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s been any reputable statement [that the Jaguars were shopping Thomas],\u201d Gladstone said on March 12, via ESPN\u2019s Michael DiRocco. <\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t have any real action on any of those fronts. And you think back to where we landed at the end of the season, where our passing attack was, we have no interest in disrupting the momentum.
