They have one other pick in the top-100 slots, Pick No. 93. That alone could make them a prime candidate to trade back with one of their top two selections.

According to DraftTek, the 13th overall pick is worth 1,150 points, while the 61st pick is worth 292 points. Both could fetch the Rams multiple picks in later rounds.

LA also lacks picks in the fourth and fifth rounds, but has three seventh-round selections.

Les Snead Prepared to Make a Trade

GettyLos Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead recalls a story about the time the team shared a Seattle hotel with a furry convention.

Snead spoke candidly about his and the Rams’ willingness to move around in the draft. They traded out of Round 1 last year. He also suggested the 13th pick is off-limits.

“If I were being realistic, more than likely we don’t move up, because the price point to move up, depending on how the thing goes, you always go, can you as you go in your situation,” Snead said at the annual owners meeting, per TheRams.com’s Stu Jackson in March.

“If it’s, oh, some of the players that come in right now, they’re gone, maybe you could move back. That would be the strategy, collect more picks if that’s a possibility. And then I would say also, I doubt we use that for a veteran player. We’ve kind of saved that pick because it is 13. We haven’t picked this low, high, whatever you want to call it, in the lot. So that’s where we’re at.”

This will be the Rams’ highest pick since they owned the No. 1 overall selection in 2016.

The Rams–who had the No. 1 offense, the MVP in Matthew Stafford, a top-10 defense, and came within a game of the Super Bowl this past season–used that pick on quarterback Jared Goff.

Jared Verse, taken 19th overall in 2024, is the Rams’ highest pick since then. He is a two-time Pro Bowler and was the 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year.
