The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off in just about two weeks, and despite not having a pick until the end of the second round, the Denver Broncos<\/a> will be looking for players who can quickly contribute to a team with championship aspirations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Broncos originally held the No. 30 overall pick in the first round, but that was sent to the Miami Dolphins<\/a> in a package that brought wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Mile High City<\/a>. The Broncos now don’t have a choice until the No. 62 overall pick, but several potential starters could still be on the board in that spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mock drafts are being produced at a high rate and that will continue until the first round kicks off on Thursday, April 23, in Pittsburgh. Here, we will have a look at which players are being mocked to the Broncos most recently. This will be for the Broncos’ second-round pick only.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Matt Miller, ESPN:<\/a> Josiah Trotter, LB, Missouri<\/p>\n

“Denver’s defense is elite, but there’s room for a downhill thumper. Trotter has NFL bloodlines and the speed to make a huge impact in the run game, where he’s a missile with quick read-and-react skills.”<\/p>\n

Josh Edwards, CBS Sports:<\/a> Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State<\/p>\n

Vinnie Iyer, The Sporting News:<\/a> Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt<\/p>\n

“The Broncos have gotten a long look at Stowers as a new key athletic intermediate target to play well off Jaylen Waddle for Bo Nix.”<\/p>\n

Jon Heath, Broncos Wire:<\/a> Josiah Trotter, LB, Missouri<\/p>\n

Two of the four analysts chose Missouri linebacker Josiah Trotter, son of former NFL standout Jeremiah Trotter. He will be a popular choice for the Broncos with this pick, as inside linebacker remains a top need.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In my most recent mock draft<\/a>, Florida’s Caleb Banks falls all the way down to the Broncos with this pick. That would seem like an unlikely scenario, but the Broncos would have a hard time passing on him if he somehow does.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to these choices, many fans are still going to want to see the team address the running back position in this draft. Notre Dame’s Jadarian Price and Washington’s Jonah Coleman are players who could find their way to Denver with this selection.\u00a0<\/p>\n
