Mitchell Fraboni has two years remaining<\/a> on his contract with the Denver Broncos<\/a>, but he does not have any guaranteed money included in 2026 or 2027. His average salary ($1,391,667) ranks 19th<\/a> among NFL long snappers, which isn’t bad, but the Broncos could go even cheaper with a rookie. They might be considering it.<\/p>\n

Denver recently spoke with long snapper Xander Echols at Idaho’s pro day, according to Easton Butler of Packers Report<\/a>. Before that, USC long snapper Hank Pepper had a private workout for the Broncos, according to KPRC-TV’s Aaron Wilson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Echols (5-11, 220 pounds) spent two years at UAB before transferring to Idaho. Pepper (6-1, 215 pounds) is a former high school linebacker and long snapper who spent three seasons at Michigan State before transferring to USC.<\/p>\n

Pepper was ranked as the top long snapper recruit coming out of Chandler High School in Arizona. He was also a star linebacker in high school, winning Defensive Player of the Year honors and helping the Wolves to a state championship as a senior.<\/p>\n

Broncos long snapper interest<\/p>\n

Following\u00a0the\u00a0Jaylen Waddle trade<\/a>\u00a0last month, Denver\u00a0holds seven picks<\/a>\u00a0in the 2026 NFL draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.<\/p>\n
