The 2026 NFL Draft is right around the corner, making it logical to explore potential trades organizations could make during the offseason event to help strengthen their rosters.<\/p>\n
From the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>\u2019 perspective, Fox Sports\u2019 Ralph Vacchiano<\/a> believes that a hypothetical trade sending two draft picks to the New York Giants<\/a> for a declining 25-year-old linebacker is one that Baltimore should consider.<\/p>\n \u201cNew head coach Jesse Minter is taking over a team ready for a Super Bowl run, but still too dangerously thin on the edge,\u201d Vacchiano wrote\u00a0\u00a0Friday. \u201cThe Ravens could fix that by adding Thibodeaux, who is an expensive luxury for the Giants.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWith Brian Burns and Abdul Carter already there for New York, it’s unlikely to re-sign Thibodeaux after this season. With that, the Giants could be willing to deal him now, especially if they could get a third-round pick, which the Giants don\u2019t currently have.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnother possibility? Baltimore could offer veteran CB Marlon Humphrey, who would solidify the secondary for his old coach, John Harbaugh.\u201d<\/p>\n Thibodeaux was at the top of his game with the Giants during the 2023-24 season. The former first-round pick recorded 50 tackles, 11.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles in 17 games with New York. At the time, it seemed as though the Oregon product was quickly ascending to super stardom, but his next two seasons were relatively disappointing.\u00a0<\/p>\n Thibodeaux finished with 53 total tackles, eight total tackles, and one forced fumble in 22 games, which was largely due to the Thousand Oaks, California native\u2019s injury struggles and technical pass-rushing issues (he relies heavily on strength rather than a sound technique to reach the backfield regularly).\u00a0<\/p>\n That said, the potential is there with Thibodeaux, and with a change of scenery and a refined skill set, the ex-All-American could be a resounding statement in 2026-27.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Ravens could certainly use Thibodeaux\u2019s assistance, and given he\u2019s already had success in the big leagues, it would be shocking if the two-time Super Bowl champions showed zero interest in the 2020 Morris Trophy winner.<\/p>\n
