Following the 2013 NFC Championship game, Richard Sherman, speaking to Erin Andrews, told the world, \u201cWhen you try me with a sorry receiver like [Michael] Crabtree<\/a>, that\u2019s the result you\u2019re going to get.\u201d<\/p>\n Sherman followed that up by calling Crabtree \u201cmediocre\u201d in his postgame press conference shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n Thirteen years later, Sherman was asked by fans on his YouTube channel if he had any regrets about his description of Crabtree.<\/p>\n \u201cNo,\u201d Sherman replied. \u201cNo, [I] can never regret saying the truth. The truth stands the test of time.\u201d<\/p>\n While Sherman says he doesn\u2019t presently have regrets, following the 2014 situation, the All-Pro cornerback did apologize for the negative attention his comments drew<\/a>.<\/p>\n “I apologize for attacking an individual and taking the attention away from the fantastic game by my teammates … That was not my intent,” Sherman reportedly said in a text message to ESPN’s Ed Werder.<\/p>\n Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks went on to win Super Bowl XLVIII<\/a> that season, defeating the Denver Broncos 43-8 to earn their first title in the team\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
