He maps out a trade with the Miami Dolphins—who grab Carolina’s first-round pick (No. 19 overall) and a fifth-round pick in exchange for their first-rounder (No. 30) and two third-rounders.

And with that 30th overall selection, Lee has the Panthers taking Arizona State University wide receiver Jordyn Tyson:

Tyson would be the first receiver taken in my mock drafts if I knew he’d stay healthy, but his inability to get through college seasons without injury has given me serious pause about placing him in the first round at all.

His tape is hard to ignore, though. He has the route-running chops, the catch radius, and the versatility to be an NFL team’s best receiver. And in Carolina, he’d be able to work as an inside-out threat in the intermediate level, eating up soft holes in zone coverage. I’m crossing my fingers that Tyson can stay healthy in the pros, because he’s as enjoyable a player to watch as you’ll find in this class.

Tyson’s injuries limited him to just 33 games over his four collegiate campaigns. But when he wasn’t limited, the 6-foot-2, 203-pounder was one of the most productive pass catchers in the nation—as he totaled 1,802 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns over his last two seasons for the Sun Devils.

Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.

If Lee’s projection prevails, one way or another, the two-time first-team All-Big member would be the third consecutive wideout the Panthers have drafted in the first round—joining Xavier Legette (2024) and Tetairoa McMillan (2025).

Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.

[2075
95878,235,260,2567,7,6,236,97114,97115,97116,95882,98008,96059,95896,95888,96683,95906,95883,95881
0":"post-863713","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-carolina-panthers","8":"tag-accessfree","9":"tag-carolina","10":"tag-carolina-panthers","11":"tag-carolinapanthers","12":"tag-football","13":"tag-nfl","14":"tag-panthers","15":"tag-sstssportsnflpanthers","16":"tag-sstsnpanthers","17":"tag-tag2026-nfl-draft","18":"tag-tagamerican-football","19":"tag-tagarizona-state-university","20":"tag-tagcarolina-panthers","21":"tag-tagnational-sports","22":"tag-tagnfl","23":"tag-tagnfl-draft","24":"tag-tagoverall-positive","25":"tag-tagsports-news","26":"tag-typestory
["GET
