When Dillon Gabriel arrives for training camp, he\u2019ll be a married man.<\/p>\n
The Cleveland Browns<\/a> quarterback is set to marry his long-time partner Zo Caswell this summer. Caswell shared an update on TikTok<\/a>, looking ahead to the wedding, writing \u201cAnd married in three months\u2026ahhh!!\u201d along with photos of the two through the years.<\/p>\n The couple\u2019s story stretches back to middle school in Hawaii. According to People<\/a>, the two first crossed paths at Mililani High School, bonding over a gardening exercise.<\/p>\n \u201cWe met gardening, funny enough,\u201d Caswell said in 2024<\/a>. \u201cHe kept coming closer and closer to me and I was like, \u2018Who\u2019s this weird guy?’\u201d<\/p>\n The relationship endured long distance from the start. Dillon Gabriel left Hawai\u2018i six months before graduation to play at UCF, and the couple navigated an on-and-off stretch over the next three years before Caswell ultimately moved to Oklahoma following his transfer to the Sooners.<\/p>\n Gabriel proposed in September 2024 in Oregon, shortly after making his debut with the Ducks. She made headlines of her own<\/a>. When Gabriel lost the starting job to Sanders following his concussion, comments from Caswell on a TikTok post surfaced, adding fuel to the Browns\u2019 quarterback controversy.<\/p>\n She wrote that \u201ceveryone in the building wants him to play.\u201d She also took a shot at a fan, adding, \u201cBut you wouldn\u2019t know that bc you\u2019ve never played in the nfl<\/a> or been a [coach] right?\u201d<\/p>\n She later posted a \u201cback to neutral\u201d message on social media while showing off her engagement ring.<\/p>\n Sanders, for his part, handled his relationship with Gabriel with class. Gabriel was often booed during his six starts, which Sanders petitioned the fans not to do.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen Dillon\u2019s out there playing, I appreciate the fans, but I\u2019m a good person, so I don\u2019t really like him not feeling comfortable and confident,\u201d Sanders said<\/a>.<\/p>\n Browns Haven\u2019t Forgotten About Dillon Gabriel<\/p>\n On the football side, Gabriel heads into training camp with something to prove<\/a>. The Browns selected him in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and he went 1-5 as a starter before losing his job to Sanders. He finished his rookie campaign with 937 yards and seven touchdowns.<\/p>\n New head coach Todd Monken has declared an open quarterback competition among Gabriel, Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson. Sanders has been the most visible presence at the Browns facility this offseason, while Monken acknowledged he had not seen Gabriel in the building<\/a> ahead of the start of the offseason program.<\/p>\n Still, general manager Andrew Berry has not given up on the 25-year-old.<\/p>\n \u201cHe may be forgotten externally, but he\u2019s not forgotten to us,\u201d Berry said at the NFL Combine in February. \u201cDillon\u2019s a guy that has a bright future in this league.\u201d<\/p>\n Cleveland.com\u2019s Mary Kay Cabot noted that Gabriel should be \u201chungry\u201d heading into camp<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s got something to prove and everybody has written him off in this competition,\u201d Cabot said. \u201cDillon is a competitive guy.
