The New York Giants<\/a> suffered a tough blow in free agency when cornerback Cor\u2019Dale Flott<\/a> spurned them in favor of the Tennessee Titans,<\/a> signing a three-year, $45 million deal to take his talents to Nashville.<\/p>\n It was a tough loss for Big Blue. The former third-round pick was the best cornerback New York had last season, and it forced them to pivot in free agency.<\/p>\n The Giants<\/a> quickly turned to former Cleveland Browns<\/a> cornerback Greg Newsome<\/a>, inking him to a one-year, $8 million contract, but he clearly isn\u2019t the long-term plan for New York.<\/p>\n Across from him is Paulson Adebo,<\/a> who was a marquee free agent signing last offseason, but his 2025 play left a lot to be desired.<\/p>\n John Harbaugh<\/a> knows his defense will need better cornerback play to compete in 2026, and they may need to make another move to ensure success.<\/p>\n Giants Trade Idea Lands Ravens\u2019 CB Marlon Humphrey<\/p>\n In a deal proposed by Fox Sports\u2019 Ralph Vacchiano, the New York Giants could swing a deal with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> for cornerback Marlon Humphrey,<\/a> reuniting him with his former head coach.<\/p>\n New York Giants receive: CB Marlon Humphrey<\/a><\/p>\n Baltimore Ravens receive: 2026 fourth-round pick (No. 105), 2027 conditional seventh-round pick<\/p>\n \u201cThe thinnest position on the Giants\u2019 roster might be corner, where veteran Paulson Adebo<\/a> has battled injuries the past two seasons, Deonte Banks has been a bust, and they\u2019re counting a lot on the flier they took on Greg Newsome,\u201d wrote<\/a> Vacchiano.<\/p>\n \u201cHumphrey, a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, will be 30 and carries a $15.25 million salary, so he might not cost more than a Day 3 pick. The Ravens will be OK in the secondary without him. And they could make this a win-win trade if they can entice Baltimore with edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux<\/a> in a blockbuster deal, too.\u201d<\/p>\n Humphrey would immediately become the best cornerback on the Giants roster, despite his slight decline in play over the last few seasons with Baltimore.<\/p>\n The former Alabama standout is a two-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler, and could be a much-needed veteran presence in New York\u2019s young secondary.<\/p>\n It doesn\u2019t hurt that he has plenty of familiarity with new defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson,<\/a> who was Humphrey\u2019s defensive backs coach in Baltimore in 2023.<\/p>\n Giants\u2019 Cap Situation Makes Marlon Humphrey Trade Murky<\/p>\n There\u2019s only one snag in a trade between the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens for Humphrey\u2019s services, and that\u2019s money.<\/p>\n
