Bowen was Patriots<\/a> coach Mike Vrabel’s defensive coordinator during the last three seasons of his run with the Titans. There is also a connection between Patriots defensive coordinator Zak Kuhr and Bowen. Per Patriots.com’s Evan Lazar<\/a>, Kuhr views Bowen as a “mentor figure” in the NFL.<\/p>\n Bowen began his NFL career in 2016 as a defensive assistant with the Houston Texans. He then progressed to defensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans by 2021.
