The Minnesota Vikings<\/a> ended up missing out on the playoffs last season. Unfortunately, they also had to watch former quarterback Sam Darnold lead the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> to a championship.<\/p>\n After making the switch at quarterback from Darnold to J.J. McCarthy, it was clear after one season the Vikings needed another signal caller. They went out and signed former Arizona Cardinals<\/a> star Kyler Murray.<\/p>\n While Minnesota has already made sizable moves this offseason, could the team still be open for blockbuster business?<\/p>\n A new suggestion has been made that would see the Vikings make a massive move that would shake up the landscape of the NFL<\/a>. It would involve pulling off a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>.<\/p>\n Vikings\u2019 Latest Prediction Would See Major Trade With Eagles<\/p>\n Dustin Baker of Vikings Territory has suggested a potential NFL Draft trade between the Vikings and Eagles. His proposal would see star defensive tackle Jalen Carter shipped to Minnesota in exchange for pass rusher Jonathan Greenard and the No. 49 overall pick in the second round.<\/p>\n Whether or not that would be enough for Philadelphia to trade Carter remains to be seen.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Eagles may not be able to afford Carter\u2019s extension. The Vikings may not be able to afford Jonathan Greenard\u2019s extension,\u201d Baker wrote<\/a>. \u201cHere, Howie Roseman and Rob Brzezinski solve each other\u2019s problems.\u201d<\/p>\n Would the Eagles actually have interest in trading Carter? About a month ago, Pro Football Talk\u2019s Mike Florio took a look at the possibility.<\/p>\n Mike Florio Weighs in on Jalen Carter\u2019s Potential Availability<\/p>\n Here is what Florio had to say about the idea of Philadelphia trading the young star defensive lineman.<\/p>\n \u201cWhenever word emerges that a team is receiving possible trade calls about any player, there\u2019s an important question to ask: Is the team subtly getting the word out that the player is available, in the hopes of getting more calls and, in turn, driving up the market?\u201d he wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cCarter is currently eligible for a new contract. He\u2019s owed $3.723 million for the coming season. With defensive tackle Jordan Davis getting a three-year extension at a new-money average of $26 million per year on Saturday, it\u2019s possible the Eagles have made a choice as to which one of the two will be paid \u2014 and which one could be moved.\u201d<\/p>\n This kind of move would be a ground-shaking trade. Fans of the Vikings shouldn\u2019t get their hopes up about Carter coming to town, but the idea can\u2019t be written off either.<\/p>\n Last season with the Eagles, the 25-year-old star defender played in 12 games. He racked up 33 tackles, three sacks, and seven defended passes.<\/p>\n Throughout his first three NFL seasons, Carter has totaled 108 tackles, 13.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 13 defended passes in 44 games.<\/p>\n Expect to continue hearing rumors about Minnesota as the NFL Draft approaches.
