Notably, Bradshaw has been able to cover the NFL Combine with media credentials for TWSN.

Outside of football, Bradshaw also has experience writing about the MLB & NBA.

As an early warning, this is a mock draft idea that some New York Giants fans won’t be happy about. Even looking back on this mock draft that I had created, 37 seems a bit early for this player.

However, it’s definitely not off the table, and based on how the mock draft shook out through the first 36 picks, it made the most sense.

We’ll be referring to the most recent two-round TWSN mock draft, which had the Giants selecting Chris Brazzell at pick No. 37

TWSN Key Facts:

• Team: New York Giants

• 2025 Record: 4-13

• 2026 NFL Draft Picks (Days 1 & 2): 5, & 37

Is Chris Brazzell a Good Fit for the New York Giants?

Given the stigma around Tennessee wide receivers not panning out in the NFL because of their scheme, Brazzell isn’t the most popular prospect. Right now on NFL Mock Draft Database, Brazzell has a consensus big board rank of 54. It’s not that the rank is extremely low, but it is 17 spots lower than this mock draft.

However, there are two very important pieces of context that need to be understood. For starters, here’s what Patrick Brown of 247 Sports wrote in relation to Brazzell’s role with Tennessee this year.

“he’s also the first who could benefit from the changes Tennessee made to its passing game in 2025”

Brown also went on to pull a quote from Brazzell, which explains that:

“in his words, he thrived in a “completely different offense” during his breakout season.”

For those reasons, Giants fans shouldn’t be scared of drafting Jalin Hyatt 2.0. Back in the 2023 NFL draft, the Giants spent pick No. 73 on the Tennessee product. Since then, Hyatt has 470 receiving yards over 41 career games.

Brazzell would give the Giants an outside receiver, which should help Malik Nabers once he comes back. From a target perspective, after losing Wan’Dale Robinson, the Giants desperately need to add another receiver for Jaxson Dart.

New York Giants Landing Chris Brazzell: Final Verdict

Here’s my reasoning from the last TWSN mock draft on why Brazzell is a good fit in New York at 37. For some context, in part one of this mock draft, the Giants went with Caleb Downs.

“However, Brazzell is a 6’4”, 198 lb receiver who’s also extremely fast. The difference is that Brazzell is much more nuanced for his size than he’s given credit for.”

With that all being said, this pick makes a ton of sense if the Giants are sold on Brazzell as more than just a fast wide receiver.

The last point that needs to be mentioned is that KC Concepcion went just two picks before Brazzell. If the Giants pass on Brazzell, their realistic options are Chris Bell, Germie Bernard, or Zachariah Branch.

None of those three receivers project to be an outside receiver except Bernard, who’s not nearly the athlete that Brazzell is.

It may seem early, but don’t be shocked if the New York Giants want to draft the 6’4” wide receiver who ran a 4.37 40-yard dash.

Frequently Asked Questions

Chris Brazzell Weight?

Brazzell is 6’4”, 198 lbs.

Chris Brazzell Age?

Brazzell is 22 years old.

Chris Brazzell Stats?

Last season, Brazzell caught 62 passes for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns.

New York Giants Round 1 Draft Pick?

The New York Giants have pick No. 5 in the 2026 NFL draft.

More NFL Draft Content:

Top-100 NFL Draft Player Comps

Way Too Early 2027 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1

2026 NFL Draft Bold Predictions: Eagles Trade AJ Brown and Jeremiyah Love Falls?

Related

Subscribe to the TWSN Newsletter for original reporting, bold opinions, and real analysis across NFL, NBA, UFC, College Football, and more.

Straight to your inbox.
