NFL analyst Tony Pauline reported the Seattle Seahawks didn’t meet with cornerback Chris Johnson for a pre-draft as scheduled.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s difficult to get accurate information on what prospects and position group NFL<\/a> teams might target in the NFL Draft. This weekend, there are conflicting reports on whether the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> will meet with cornerback prospect Chris Johnson.<\/p>\n

The San Diego State cornerback was previously on Seattle\u2019s top 30 pre-draft visit schedule. However, NFL analyst Tony Pauline reported Saturday the Seahawks have not hosted Johnson on a visit this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cChris Johnson\/CB\/San Diego State, making an official 30 visit to see the Raiders next week,\u201d wrote Pauline on X<\/a>. \u201cI can confirm, contrary to reports, Johnson never made trip to see the Seahawks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seahawks podcast host Dan Viens described the development of Johnson not visiting the team as very unexpected.<\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s draft stock appears to be rising quickly, which might mean he\u2019s not still on the board for the Seahawks at No. 32 overall.<\/p>\n

The first round of the 2026 NFL Draft will be Thursday, April 23.<\/p>\n

On his latest big board released at the beginning of April, NFL Network\u2019s Daniel Jeremiah had Johnson ranked as the No. 40 prospect on his big board. But Johnson had risen two spots from Jeremiah\u2019s previous big board.<\/p>\n

The San Diego cornerback continues to see his stock rise considerably among draft experts.<\/p>\n

Could Seattle Still Host Johnson for Pre-Draft Visit?\"Mike<\/p>\n

While Johnson has yet to see the Seahawks in Seattle, that doesn\u2019t mean he won\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Smith and Viens both left open the possibility of Johnson visiting the Seahawks this upcoming week. NFL teams must conclude their 30 pre-draft visits by Wednesday, April 15.<\/p>\n

If the Seahawks want to host Johnson, though, the cornerback will have to carve out time in a potentially busy schedule. The San Diego State product will at least see the Raiders by Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Johnson posted<\/a> 49 combined tackles, including three tackles for loss during his senior season last fall. He also had nine pass defenses and four interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.<\/p>\n
