The Tennessee Titans own the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The debate over how Mike Borgonzi should utilize that selection<\/a> will probably rage all the way up until the Titans are on the clock. Despite that discussion dominating the headlines, it’s worth noting their second-round selection (No. 35) is arguably equally as important<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The rebuilding Titans can’t afford to whiff on premium draft selections<\/a>. In order to keep the accelerated timeline on track, it’s imperative that Borgonzi lands long-term contributors at Nos. 4 and 35. When the Titans are announced on the clock at No. 35, they’ll arrive with the reality that they only controlled one of the opening 34 selections. The unknown creates a need for flexibility.<\/p>\n

The Titans will keep a running table of shortlisted options with the 35th selection<\/a>. Borgonzi will prefer to see first-round prospects slide to the early portion of Day Two. The most hopeful realistic outcome could see Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston fall into the Titans’ laps.<\/p>\n

As currently constructed, the room has flexible slot\/Z receivers<\/a> like Wan’Dale Robinson, Calvin Ridley, and Chimere Dike. When it comes to true X receivers, Elic Ayomanor is arguably the only player on the roster capable of lining up at that position with consistency.<\/p>\n

Boston is a physical receiver with an alpha mentality in contested catch situations<\/a>. He climbs the ladder with a dominant skill set to embarrass defensive backs at the catch point. Boston is also an underrated receiver who generates more separation than publicly given credit for.<\/p>\n

Ideally, the Titans will approach the podium on Friday night and select a second-round player <\/a>Borgonzi and his scouting staff had graded 10-20 picks higher. That\u2019s precisely the exact scenario they\u2019re quietly hoping for.
