Now, a clip of Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson<\/a> is once again making the rounds, and it\u2019s a tear-jerker.<\/p>\n The Lions selected Hutchinson in the 2022 NFL draft as the second overall pick<\/a>. He\u2019s been with the team for his entire NFL<\/a> career and signed a four-year extension with them on October 29, 2025, running through the 2030 season, according to team data<\/a>.<\/p>\n He\u2019s become a fixture of the Lions, and it certainly helps that he\u2019s a hometown guy. Hutchinson hails from Plymouth, Michigan, and played for the University of Michigan. So, let\u2019s get into this heartfelt video clip.<\/p>\n Aidan Hutchinson of the Detroit Lions Talks to a Little Fan in Video That\u2019s Resurfacing<\/p>\n On Friday, April 10, the ML Football account on X shared a video clip<\/a> of Hutchinson spotting a little girl wearing his No. 97 shirt at Universal in Orlando. In the video, he goes right up to the girl and introduces himself.<\/p>\n The girl looks shocked and then excited in the video. He poses with her for a photo, and the two go on their way. It\u2019s an adorable moment and shows why the Lions love this guy. He isn\u2019t just a great player on the field. He also has heart.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I tell you I love this guy. He has such a huge heart! I will meet him one day,\u201d one follower said on X<\/a> regarding the video. \u201cPlymouth, Michigan sure is happy to have him as a proud resident of theirs,\u201d another said. \u201cThis is the type of player I\u2019m happy to have on my team,\u201d another stated<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe knows he\u2019s a big scary guy so he keeps his distance and crouches down and let her choose to come to him. He made that little girl feel safe. Green flag right there,\u201d one more added<\/a>.<\/p>\n While the clip resurfaced on Friday, it was actually first shared by CBS Sports in August of 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n Detroit Lions Should Get a Complement to Aidan Hutchison for the 2026-27 Season<\/p>\n Heading into the 2026 NFL draft, many NFL experts and analysts are urging the Detroit Lions to get a complement to Hutchinson to improve their defensive end lineup, which is so crucial in the NFL.<\/p>\n Tim Twentyman of the Detroit Lions\u2019 website notes<\/a> that while the Lions have Hutch, \u201cteams can never have too many good pass rushers and the Lions should still be looking to add to a group that includes newly signed veterans DJ Wonnum and Payton Turner, returning veteran Levi Onwuzurike and second-year pass rusher Ahmed Hassanein<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n One of his choices is Akheem Mesidor out of Miami. At 25, he\u2019s one of the older players in the draft, but that makes him more mature.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can call me a seasoned rookie,\u201d he said at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to Twentyman<\/a>. \u201cI think I\u2019m coming in more mature with a different approach, different mentality than a lot of younger guys.
