The Cleveland Browns<\/a> are entering the 2026 NFL Draft with a few very valuable picks early. They have their own first and second round picks, and also the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>‘ first rounder.<\/p>\n

In Round 1, they are picking sixth and 24th overall. With those picks, there is one plan that the Browns seemingly already have.<\/p>\n

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer<\/a>, the Browns are looking to trade down from their No. 6 pick in the draft. The issue, however, is that with other teams also looking to move down and a lack of players worth moving up for, a trade will be hard to find.<\/p>\n

Browns eyeing tricky trade-down from No. 6<\/p>\n

“Count the Cardinals<\/a>, Titans<\/a>, Giants<\/a>, Browns, and Commanders<\/a> among those already looking at trying to drop down in the order to accumulate capital,” Breer writes. “The problem for those five teams is finding teams to move up.”<\/p>\n

The Browns are one of five teams inside the top seven picks looking to trade down in the 2026 NFL Draft. But with the majority of these teams looking to move down, finding a partner will be difficult.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys<\/a>, New Orleans Saints<\/a>, New York Jets<\/a>, and maybe a few other teams might have interest in trading up. But there is a lot of uncertainty about such upward movement in the draft.<\/p>\n

And even if one or multiple of those teams show interest in moving up in the draft, the Browns might not be able to find a trade partner with the other teams picking inside the top 10 also looking to move down.<\/p>\n

And beyond a team’s interest in trying to move up, a player will also have to fall a bit down the board to justify such a move.<\/p>\n

If Ohio State’s Arvell Reese or Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love were to make it to the Browns’ pick at No. 6 overall, they might be able to fetch something from a team in need or running back or edge, which the Browns do not need.<\/p>\n

Cleveland seemingly want’s to trade down in the draft, but the interested teams, and potentially falling prospects, don’t leave much room for a deal to happen for Cleveland. Despite looking for such a trade, the Browns might stick and pick at No. 6 overall.<\/p>\n
