The Minnesota Vikings<\/a> are doing their homework on young and explosive offensive playmakers.<\/p>\n

Names like Demond Claiborne<\/a>, Emmett Johnson<\/a>, and Jonah Coleman are just a few of the names that have visited Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Now, another name has been tossed into the hat. If the visit goes well, this could very well be a player that will get their name called at 18th overall.<\/p>\n

Vikings Hosting Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq\"Minnesota<\/p>\n

Sports Illustrated\u2018s Bri Amaranthus confirmed<\/a> that the Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq will be visiting the Minnesota Vikings.<\/p>\n

\u201cSadiq confirmed to Oregon Ducks on SI reporter Bri Amaranthus that he has visited the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> and Philadelphia Eagles with additional visits scheduled to the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings. <\/p>\n

For a player who prides himself on versatility and football intelligence, the interest from multiple playoff-caliber organizations with first round selections speaks volumes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Vikings are needy long-term at tight end. T.J. Hockenson recently got his contract altered so that 2026 will be his final season in Minnesota. Josh Oliver\u2019s contract goes through 2028. However, he\u2019s more of a role-playing, blocking TE2.<\/p>\n

Consider Dane Brugler\u2019s takeaway in his yearly epic on\u00a0The Athletic,\u00a0\u201cThe Beast<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

\u201cSadiq has mismatch-creating potential in the NFL<\/a>, because of his ability to out-quick and out-tough defenders as both a pass catcher and blocker. He projects as a versatile, Vernon Davis-like weapon and has his best football ahead of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sadiq would surely be an intriguing weapon in an already-loaded Vikings offensive arsenal.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Has Path to Trade Up in First Round\"Justin<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report\u00a0shared some interesting words<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0Albert Breer<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Monday Morning Quarterback.<\/p>\n

\u201cBreer reported Monday that the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>, Tennessee Titans,\u00a0New York Giants<\/a>, Cleveland Browns and Washington Commanders are all exploring deals to move down.<\/p>\n

\u2018The problem for those five is finding teams to move up,\u2019 he wrote.\u201d<\/p>\n

With that, it\u2019s now clear that the Vikings have a path to jump in the draft should they want to. Names like Mansoor Delane, Jermod McCoy, or Caleb Downs could tempt the Vikings to jump up a handful of spots.<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report\u00a0added some insight into why teams might not want to move up in this year\u2019s draft.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the most part, teams simply aren\u2019t all that incentivized to trade up this year. General managers often leapfrog the competition in order to get a quarterback they like. The dearth of good QBs in the 2026 class removes that as a consideration.<\/p>\n

Alabama\u2019s Ty Simpson is the second-best passer on the Bleacher Report\u00a0big board<\/a>\u00a0but ranks 28th overall. LSU\u2019s Garrett Nussmeier is QB3 and is all the way down at 65th.<\/p>\n

Then you have prospects such as Ohio State safety Caleb Downs, OSU linebacker Sonny Styles and Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love who are very good but don\u2019t play premium positions. Does it make sense to give up valuable draft capital for a running back, even one as dynamic as Love?\u201c<\/p>\n
