However, the Bills shouldn’t stop there. With the NFL draft just around the corner in less than two weeks, Buffalo could consider selecting a wide receiver with its first-round pick, currently sitting at No. 26. Alternatively, the Bills might want to explore trading that draft choice for a young receiver already in the league.

Trade Package For Bills To Land Harrison

If the Bills are contemplating a trade, acquiring young receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals could be a viable option.

Arizona drafted Harrison with the fourth pick in the 2024 draft, but he has yet to live up to the hype in his first two seasons. Much of this could be attributed to playing alongside quarterbacks Kyler Murray and Jacoby Brissett.

If the Cardinals are considering trading Harrison, they would likely expect a first-round pick in return. Here’s a potential trade that could make sense.

Bills Receive-Harrison

Cardinals Receive- 2026 first-round pick, a 2027 third-round pick and wide receiver Keon Coleman

The trade would provide Harrison with an opportunity for a fresh start, following his participation in 29 games in which he recorded 1,493 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns through his first two seasons.

Buffalo would have a chance to acquire a talented player who was drafted fourth overall just two years ago and is still only 23. Instead of spending the 26th pick on the fifth or sixth best receiver in this year’s draft class, it would be wiser for the Bills to trade for a young talent like Harrison rather than settle for less.

Arizona Could Kick Off Its Rebuild

This trade would provide Allen with a promising young wide receiver to collaborate with over the next seven to ten years, making it a beneficial arrangement for the Cardinals as well.

The Cardinals currently hold the No. 3 pick in the first round of the draft, and there’s a good chance they won’t select a quarterback with this choice. Instead, they might opt for the best player available at No. 3 and then, with the 26th pick, look to take a chance on Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson.

Even if the Cardinals decide not to go for a quarterback at No. 26, they could still use that pick to select the best available player. They also have the No. 34 pick, which gives Arizona a great opportunity to bring in three players in the top 35.

The Cardinals could leverage the three players to rebuild their team, then target a quarterback in the top five of next year’s draft.

There’s a good chance that the Cardinals won’t be looking to trade Harrison this offseason. However, if the draft begins and they aim to secure a quarterback or another player they want later in the first round, moving Harrison could help them gain a valuable draft pick.

Danny Fisher Is a football journalist covering the Buffalo Bills for Heavy.com.
