The Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> will be an interesting watch as the NFL Draft gets underway, with several offensive holes to fill.<\/p>\n

Offensive line and receiver are two areas of need, but defensively, adding more bite to the pass rush is\u00a0another option.<\/p>\n

Justin Herbert needs protection, and he needs weapons, and Chris Brockman, an analyst on the Rich Eisen Show, offered up the idea of the Chargers sending a first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> in return for A.J. Brown.<\/p>\n

Eisen wasn’t moved on the idea, stating giving up a first is a little bit much, to which Brockman responded with an interesting take.<\/p>\n

“Why wouldn’t the Chargers do that? Suddenly, they become boom, an instant, almost favorite in that division,” Brockman said<\/a>\u00a0on the Rich Eisen Show.<\/p>\n

Would Brown work in L.A.?<\/p>\n

One thing we know about Brown from his time in Philadelphia is that he wants the ball, and I’d imagine that if he were to land with the Chargers, Mike McDaniel would make sure he gets it.<\/p>\n

Able to scheme Brown open, the All-Pro weapon could see a resurgence, but the Chargers also want to run the ball under McDaniel.<\/p>\n

So, there would have to be a happy medium between the run and pass, so Brown might get a handful of targets one week, and not many the next.<\/p>\n

Would he be ok with that? Time will tell.<\/p>\n

But Brown on the Chargers, with McDaniel as his coordinator, and Herbert as his quarterback, is rather an interesting thought.<\/p>\n
