The Baltimore Ravens<\/a>‘ decision to re-sign Mark Andrews and let promising tight ends Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar walk out the door in free agency is one that is a little puzzling.<\/p>\n

Especially when Andrews’ extension was a three-year one.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the Ravens made their bed; now they have to lie in it, but here comes the NFL Draft, and in what is an ironic twist, the best tight end in the class has been linked to Baltimore.<\/p>\n

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer thinks top tight end Kenyon Sadiq would be a fun option for the Ravens.<\/p>\n

“Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq remains the most intriguing player in the draft, in my mind,” Breer wrote<\/a>. “I think you could argue, too, that if you\u2019ve got a creative offensive coordinator\/system, he has the best chance of any of the guys in the class to become the focal point of a team\u2019s passing game. The Chiefs<\/a> and Ravens would be fun landing spots for him.”<\/p>\n

Ravens in odd position at TE<\/p>\n

Yes, Andrews is a franchise star and holds numerous records, but the 2025 season was one of the worst of his career. Yes, Lamar Jackson’s injuries didn’t help his stat line, but Andrews still posted his lowest-ever yards return, just 422 yards from\u00a017 games.<\/p>\n

Now that he is back for multiple years, I’d imagine the Ravens will want some of the offense to go through Andrews, but he needs help.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Adding a rookie like Sadiq, who is a vertical threat and an athletic beast, could give the Ravens a good alternative to Andrews, but also his potential replacement.<\/p>\n

Still, taking Sadiq in the first-round when the Ravens could have still had Likely is a little backward if you ask me.<\/p>\n

Either way, the Ravens have options at tight end, and what they will do will be a fascinating watch.\u00a0<\/p>\n
