Miles no longer counts against the 90-man roster limit and the Raiders will hold onto his rights in the event he decides to return to action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miles came into the league as a seventh-round pick of the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/arizona-cardinals\/\" title=\"Arizona Cardinals\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"225131\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arizona Cardinals<\/a> in the 2019 NFL Draft, staying with the team for three years and appearing in 17 total games before being released in 2022. He spent time on the practice squad of the Atlanta Falcons before being poached by the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/new-york-giants\/\" title=\"New York Giants\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"225130\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York Giants<\/a> in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Miles appeared in one game for the Giants in 2024, his last NFL game.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders added Miles to their practice squad last December, then signed him to a reserve\/futures contract in January. With his move to the retired list, the Raiders have an extra roster spot they can fill before training camp.<\/p>\n<p>Raiders Aim to Fix Porous Offensive Line<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders have taken some major steps to improve their offensive line, which was considered among the worst units in the league for the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders signed center Tyler Lindbaum, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/raiders\/onsi\/las-vegas-trust-in-offensive-line-will-decide-2026-fate#:~:text=Linderbaum%20is%20the%20best%20center,to%20have%20a%20great%20offseason.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SI.com analyst Michael Canelo<\/a> wrote will be the centerpiece of the rebuilding effort.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-blue my-f-1.5\">\u201cLinderbaum is the best center, and he is still young and will now be the anchor for this Raiders offensive line for years to come,\u201d Canelo wrote. \u201cThe Raiders made a few more moves on the offensive line but they are going to trust the development of a few great young players on the offensive line.
