It is no secret that the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>‘ offense needs more weapons for Justin Herbert, and so far the franchise hasn’t seemed too concerned about making it happen.<\/p>\n

Moves along the offensive line were made, but Herbert still doesn’t have a genuine No. 1 weapon to throw to.<\/p>\n

But what if he did?<\/p>\n

The Rich Eisen Show’s Chris Brockman put forth an interesting thought\u00a0that the Chargers should send this year’s first-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> in exchange for AJ Brown.<\/p>\n

But Eisen isn’t sold.<\/p>\n

“I’m sure Howie [Roseman] would say sold, I’ll take a first-round pick for him, but I don’t think anybody’s offered that for a reason,” Eisen said<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Should Chargers move for Brown?<\/p>\n

They should at least pick up the phone and call, right?<\/p>\n

But given how the franchise has sat on its hands for the most part, I don’t see them using a first to secure an aging receiver, who, while productive, does come with some quirks.<\/p>\n

Yes, he would be at the top of the receiver depth chart, but new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel would have to make sure Brown gets ample targets every week. And being a run-first offense, I’m not sure how well that would work.<\/p>\n

Still, the Chargers should at least gauge interest in the receiver.<\/p>\n
