CASA empowers community volunteers to advocate for children and youth in the child welfare system, ensuring they have the resources, stability, and support needed to thrive. Serving Delaware and Chester counties, CASA champions equity and permanency through individualized, court-appointed advocacy. In 2025, CASA served 322 children, with 98% of those under 18 achieving a permanent outcome. Volunteers also supported 164 youth as Educational Decision Makers and helped fulfill 100% of holiday wishes through community partnerships.<\/p>\n

John Kane will host a Pet Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18 in Upland Park, Brookhaven.<\/p>\n The event will feature free vaccines for dogs and cats, and free microchipping for dogs of residents of Delaware County. The rain date is Saturday, May 9.<\/p>\n The Wardrobe offers free attire for reentry community<\/p>\n With a mission of eliminating clothing insecurity, The Wardrobe opens its doors this month for the reentry community to access free attire.<\/p>\n This month\u2019s Open Wardrobe \u2014 the nonprofit organization\u2019s monthly open event to meet the needs of specific communities \u2014 will offer attire for anyone in the reentry community.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., participants can receive free clothing, along with additional community resources from Fruits of the Family Table, FIGHT Institute for Community Justice, Free Library of Philadelphia, Project HOME, Philadelphia Community Bail Fund, Uplift Solutions and The Elevation Project.<\/p>\n Open Wardrobe will be available at five Wardrobe locations: 413 N Fourth St., Philadelphia; 62 W.
