As excitement around the 2026 NFL Draft<\/a> continues to dominate headlines, one veteran’s new jersey number with the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> flew under the radar.<\/p>\n

According to the NFL Jersey Numbers X account, Steelers<\/a> punter Cameron Johnston<\/a> is currently wearing No. 19, a number shared with cornerback Doneiko Slaughter.<\/p>\n

Johnston, a nine-year veteran, rejoined the Steelers on a one-year deal in March 2026, less than a year after being released by the team after failing to beat out Corliss Waitman<\/a> for the starting punter job.<\/p>\n

Currently the only punter on the roster, Johnston will look to make a statement in what could be a bounce-back year in 2026, featuring a new special teams coordinator in Danny Crossman.<\/p>\n
