{"id":868307,"date":"2026-04-17T10:45:30","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:45:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/868307\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T10:45:30","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:45:30","slug":"nfl-mock-trade-steelers-dolphins-make-nfl-draft-swap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/868307\/","title":{"rendered":"NFL Mock Trade: Steelers, Dolphins Make NFL Draft Swap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"inline-text-0\" class=\"mt-[18px] md:mt-0 mb-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6i\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/steelers\/onsi\/pittsburgh-steelers-last-pre-draft-visit-perfect-fit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> are one of the lone teams that could be looking to move up in the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/steelers\/onsi\/5-late-round-sleepers-pittsburgh-steelers-afford-miss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NFL Draft<\/a>, and the Miami Dolphins fit the bill as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/steelers\/onsi\/pittsburgh-steelers-potential-trade-partner-revealed-themselves\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">potential trade partner<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6l\">Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan stated that the organization is more likely to move down than up, which is a common sentiment around the league at least when it comes to Day 1, which is music to the Steelers&#8217; ears. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6o\">With 12 picks in their inventory, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/steelers\/onsi\/news\/local-football-legend-terrelle-pryor-reveals-why-shut-down-pittsburgh-steelers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pittsburgh<\/a> has the necessary capital to take a big swing and sore up the board in the first round, but what would the return package going back to Miami end up looking like?<\/p>\n<p>The Trade Price<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6u\">Because it both looks and feels like a buyer&#8217;s market at this point with all of the buzz about teams wanting to move back, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/steelers\/onsi\/news\/pittsburgh-steelers-deshon-elliott-shares-encouraging-injury-update\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Steelers<\/a> could be licking their chops.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6x\">That&#8217;s not to say Pittsburgh is going to pull off a heist or anything, but there&#8217;s an opportunity to get some value in a trade scenario with the Dolphins. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"70\">In all likelihood, though, it&#8217;s still going to require the Steelers handing over two of their three third-rounders, such as No. 76 and No. 99, as well as their first-round selection at No. 21 and a Day 3 pick like No. 161, in order to facilitate a move for No. 11. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"73\">If Pittsburgh wants to go in a different direction, it could instead package No. 21 with its second-rounder at No. 53 and slide up to No. 11 while Miami tosses in a Day 3 pick, such as No. 130. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"76\">Giving up their second-rounder won&#8217;t hurt the Steelers as much as it would in other years because of the fact that they have three third-rounders, and perhaps they value holding on to all of them for another potential trade while parting ways with No. 53. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/01kpbc9zcn2e955gfrxb.jpg\" alt=\"Ohio State Buckeyes safety Caleb Downs\" title=\"Ohio State Buckeyes safety Caleb Downs\" width=\"3485\" height=\"2323\" class=\"undefined w-full w-full blur-[5px]\" q:id=\"7g\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Dec 31, 2025; Arlington, TX, USA; Ohio State Buckeyes safety Caleb Downs (2) gets into position during the 2025 Cotton Bowl and quarterfinal game of the College Football Playoff at AT&amp;T Stadium.
