The Chicago Bears<\/a> know they have their franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams,<\/a> who\u2019s only trending upwards heading into Year 3 in the NFL. Players who have seen the lows of quarterback play in Chicago, especially corner Jaylon Johnson<\/a>, can appreciate watching Williams work his magic<\/a> on the sidelines.<\/p>\n But Johnson, who appeared on former NFL<\/a> player Chris Long\u2019s\u00a0Green Light with Chris Long<\/a>\u00a0podcast, made sure to give his unfiltered thoughts on Williams.<\/p>\n Jaylon Johnson Shared Blunt Thoughts on Bears QB Caleb Williams Jaylon Johnson #1 of the Chicago Bears warms up before the game against the Green Bay Packers<\/a>.<\/p>\n Chris Long started the conversation saying, \u201cI really do think he\u2019s got a chance to be one of the best in the league like I think he\u2019s already there late in games but if he can be a little bit more consistent with the process throughout the game like he\u2019s got a chance to be in that elite category. How quickly did he earn that respect from you guys?\u201d<\/p>\n Jaylon Johnson replied with, \u201cWe definitely had the trust early when he got there, kind of just seeing him throw the ball, seeing some of the throws he made. I think that\u2019s kind of when we gave him the trust and the respect. But also at the same time, you got to understand that he\u2019s young, that he\u2019s coming in figuring it out for the first time. I mean, we understood there will be some growing pains. \u2026I think we\u2019re, especially for me being here being on defense, we just wanted a little more than what we were able to get previously.\u201d<\/p>\n After watching the past few quarterbacks in Chicago, it\u2019s a nice breath of fresh air watching Caleb Williams. Granted, he\u2019s not perfect and still has plenty of things to work on, but the qualities that an elite QB needs are there.<\/p>\n Johnson Comments on Williams\u2019 Performance vs. Packers<\/p>\n It\u2019s a different type of feeling watching a Bears quarterback not only throw a game-winning touchdown in overtime, but against a division rival like the Packers.<\/p>\n But according to Jaylon Johnson, that wasn\u2019t even the best play by Caleb Williams back on December 20th.<\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, I almost want to say the fourth down conversion was probably the craziest one. I think for us, especially on defense, like, man, it\u2019s fourth down, you got pressure. It\u2019s like, man, this damn game about to be over and then as soon as you put your head down, everybody goes crazy. It\u2019s like, \u2018What just happened?\u2019 And you see the replay and it\u2019s like, bro, that\u2019s crazy how he just always finds a way.\u201d<\/p>\n This wasn\u2019t the only instance where it felt like the Bears had lost the game.
