Former Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> running back James Robinson scored a rushing touchdown for the UFL’s Louisville Kings in a Thursday night matchup with the Houston Gamblers.<\/p>\n

The second-quarter touchdown helped the Kings secure their first win<\/a> in their inaugural season.<\/p>\n

Robinson finished the game with seven carries <\/a>for 19 yards and the touchdown. He also caught two passes for eight yards.<\/p>\n

Robinson was originally signed by the Kings in early March, but was released during roster cutdowns. The Kings re-signed Robinson just recently.<\/p>\n

James Robinson’s Jaguars<\/a> career<\/p>\n

Robinson went undrafted in 2020 out of Illinois State, but quickly carved out an important role with the Jaguars<\/a> that season, which included rushing for 1,070 yards as a rookie with seven touchdowns. Robinson was also active in the passing game, hauling in 49 receptions for 344 yards with three more touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, an Achilles injury in 2021 derailed another productive season. Through 14 games<\/a>, Robinson totaled 767 yards on the ground with eight rushing touchdowns, per PFF<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the Jaguars traded Robinson to the New York Jets<\/a>. He would average just 3.9 yards per rush that year on 110 attempts, scoring five total touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Robinson then spent time with the Patriots<\/a>, Giants<\/a>, Packers<\/a>, and Saints<\/a>. He last appeared in an NFL game with Green Bay<\/a> during the 2023 season.<\/p>\n
