No player has more riding on his draft process than Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. Tyson is finally healthy and cleared to work out, and his holding a last-minute workout before next week\u2019s draft.<\/p>\n
Tyson has the talent to be the best receiver to come out of the 2025 or 2026 draft classes, however, he also comes with bright red injury red flags.<\/p>\n
Tyson suffered a devastating knee injury late in 2022, tearing his ACL, MCL, and PCL, which also cost him his 2023 season. He then suffered a broken clavicle in 2024 (which needed surgery to repair), and had a lingering hamstring injury in 2025 season that cost him three games.<\/p>\n
The hope was that Tyson would be able to put the injuries behind him and address teams\u2019 concerns with his workouts over the course of the draft process. Unfortunately, Tyson has been largely absent from the on-field portion of the Draft Process thanks to a setback with that same injury.<\/p>\n
He is taking one last opportunity to prove to NFL teams that he is one of the top prospects in the draft and worthy of a Top 10 pick.<\/p>\n
But is he really an option for the Giants? He may just be .<\/p>\n
Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post has put Tyson forward as an option for the Giants in the event of a trade back.<\/p>\n
Schrager, who recently mocked Francis Mauigoa to the Giants, went one further and posited that Tyson could be an option for the Giants at No. 5.<\/p>\n
On the field, Tyson is an impressive receiver. He has good size at just under 6-foot-2, 203 pounds, with twitchy athleticism, great ball skills, secure hands, and dynamic ability after the catch. Watching Tyson, I can\u2019t help but be reminded of former Giant Hakeem Nicks, who was incredible on the field as well as struggled with injuries.<\/p>\n
Tyson has been a very common selection for the Kansas City Chiefs in mock drafts, and it makes sense. Tyson would immediately slot in as Patrick Mahomes\u2019 top target, and his skill set is a perfect fit for Andy Reid\u2019s brand of West Coast Offense.<\/p>\n
As it so happens, Matt Nagy is a direct off-shoot of the Reid coaching tree. So too is Mike Kafka, who laid the foundation for Jaxson Dart.<\/p>\n
That could make Tyson a natural fit for the offense the Giants\u2019 new coaching staff is building around Dart.<\/p>\n
But could the Giants really go there if Tyson has a clean workout?
