The 2026 NFL<\/a> Draft is less than a week away, and almost the entire league, including the New York Giants<\/a>, is putting the finishing touches on its draft boards.<\/p>\n One of the more polarizing figures heading into next Thursday\u2019s first round is Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson.<\/a> He projects to be an explosive playmaker, but injuries have hampered his draft stock.<\/p>\n So much so that Tyson hosted a personal workout on Friday afternoon in an attempt to prove to NFL decision-makers that he\u2019s fully healthy, and the Giants<\/a> were in fact in attendance.<\/p>\n Sources: Over 20 NFL teams \u2014 including multiple GMs \u2014 are at Jordyn Tyson\u2019s personal workout today, including:<\/p>\n Titans, Giants, Commanders, Eagles, Dolphins, Cardinals, Bills, Panthers, Browns, Cowboys, Lions, Packers, Raiders, Chargers, among others. <\/p>\n Are the Giants that intrigued by Tyson that they would invest their first-round pick in him? One NFL insider says it\u2019s a possibility.<\/p>\n Peter Schrager Says Giants Could Draft Jordyn Tyson at No. 5<\/p>\n Clearly, the New York Giants have some interest in the Arizona State wideout; otherwise, they wouldn\u2019t have shown up to his individual workout.<\/p>\n But would they use the No. 5 pick in the draft on him? Especially with the concerns surrounding his injury history? ESPN\u2019s Peter Schrager says yes, they would.<\/p>\n \u201cIf Jordyn Tyson has a clean workout on April 17th in front of NFL personnel, I would not be shocked if he went fifth overall to the New York Giants. There are a lot of different options, but this guy is a true No. 1. And the only question, the only question is his health and his availability,\u201d Schrager told Jordan Raanan<\/a> on the\u00a0Breaking Big Blue\u00a0podcast.<\/p>\n \u201cBut if you\u2019re talking about a home run pick at a value position, it\u2019s not at running back, it\u2019s not at safety, and it\u2019s not at off-the-ball linebacker. It\u2019s wide receiver. So if he gets a clean bill of health and everyone likes what they see, top five is not crazy to me.\u201d<\/p>\n Where Tyson will end up being selected varies depending on which draft experts you ask. Some say his talent belongs in the top 10, while others say his injury concerns could push him to the end of the first round.<\/p>\n Despite his explosive production, Tyson has dealt with several serious injuries throughout his collegiate career, including a torn ACL\/MCL\/PCL in 2022, a fractured collarbone in 2024, and hamstring injuries in 2025.<\/p>\n The hamstring forced him to miss the on-field portion of the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.<\/p>\n Giants Do Need Depth at Wide Receiver<\/p>\n When addressing the New York Giants\u2019 biggest needs entering the 2026 NFL Draft, wide receiver isn\u2019t typically noted as one of the most glaring.<\/p>\n Sure, they lost Wan\u2019Dale Robinson<\/a> in free agency, but they replaced him in the aggregate with Darnell Mooney<\/a> and Calvin Austin.<\/a><\/p>\n
