The Tennessee Titans<\/a> have been linked to many different prospects throughout the 2026 NFL Draft<\/a> process so far. Those players being Jeremiyah Love<\/a>, Sonny Styles, and even Carnell Tate.<\/p>\n

With a new head coach in Robert Saleh, the direction they could go is a complete unknown. That being said, with the draft a week away, there is another prospect that could enter the conversation to be drafted fifth overall by the Titans instead, and that is Jordyn Tyson.<\/a><\/p>\n

Why the Tennessee Titans Should Draft a Wide Receiver in Round 1<\/p>\n

The Titans have their franchise quarterback in Cam Ward, but this new coaching staff needs to do everything they can to make sure he develops the right way. In Ward\u2019s rookie season he ended passing for 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns with seven interceptions. It was an okay rookie season, but for Ward to progress, he needs a better supporting cast.<\/p>\n

They have Elic Ayomanor entering his second season after having 515 yards and four touchdowns as a rookie, and added Wan\u2019Dale Robinson in free agency, but they still need more talent plus a receiver that can take the WR1 role.<\/p>\n

Why Jordyn Tyson Would Be the Ideal Wide Receiver for the Tennessee Titans<\/p>\n

The biggest thing for Tyson throughout this NFL Draft process has been the evaluation of his health. To help ease these concerns, Tyson held a private workout today, April 17, for teams to see him in person. After, it was reported that teams were comfortable with his injury history, and one of the teams that were at the workout happened to be the Titans.<\/p>\n

The interest seems to be there from the Titans, and it makes sense. He has the ability to stretch the field, but he is not just a vertical target. Tyson can work underneath, create after the catch, and make plays in contested situations. That type of versatility is exactly what the Titans need if they want to become a more balanced and dangerous offense.<\/p>\n

He also has the body control and tracking ability to make difficult catches downfield. That is a major trait for any young offense trying to generate more explosive plays. Tennessee needs someone who can turn a routine passing play into a chunk gain, and Tyson has shown he can do that.<\/p>\n

If Tennessee wants to make sure Ward has another reliable receiver to throw to, Tyson can prove to be the best answer.<\/p>\n
