MEL BLOUNT CELEBRITY ROAST<\/p>\n
The Steelers are one of the most accomplished NFL franchises. They\u2019re tied for the most Super Bowl wins by one team with six. Most of their championship victories came in the 1970s, but they\u2019ve also had success in other decades. A lot of legendary players have suited up for the Steelers, and some of those players will soon get together for a fun event.<\/p>\n
WDVE\u2019s Randy Baumann shared on Twitter<\/a> that the Mel Blount Youth Home All-Star Celebrity Roast is being held Friday. The event is honoring former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch, and several former players are expected to be in attendance. The draft itself always brings a lot of intrigue, but the NFL has tried to make it even more enjoyable in recent years. That includes borrowing a new tradition from college football.<\/p>\n NBC Sports insider Nicole Auerbach posted on Twitter<\/a> that there will be a Pop-Tart edible mascot sacrifice at the draft. While those who haven\u2019t seen it before might be confused by that, it has become one of the most fun parts of college football\u2019s bowl season. While the Steelers swept the Ravens last year, neither game was easy.<\/a> The Ravens, like the Steelers, got a new head coach this offseason, but that isn\u2019t the only change they\u2019ve experienced.<\/p>\n The Ravens have new uniforms, as they revealed on Twitter.<\/a> There aren\u2019t many big changes, but there are enough differences that help signal their new era. We\u2019ll see if their new look helps them play better this season.<\/p>\n
