A beloved figure who won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> says that wide receiver A.J. Brown<\/a> wants to be traded and go to a specific place.<\/p>\n

Former NFL quarterback Nick Foles<\/a> helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to their first Super Bowl title. Foles was never a player who spoke about others very often, if ever, but he recently weighed in on his thoughts about star wide receiver A.J. Brown, who has been in the news quite a bit since last season.<\/p>\n

Foles recently shared his thoughts about the situation with Jeff Skversky of Fox29 in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have a first-year coordinator in Sean Mannion,\u201d Foles said. \u201cYou don\u2019t want to deal with, you know, what they dealt with last year with A.J. Now, A.J. had merit looking back. Like, why was he frustrated? Well, it was the concepts of the offense and how it was [run] with Kevin Patullo.”<\/p>\n

“Looking back, that\u2019s maybe what the frustration was. Was it with Jalen Hurts<\/a>? I don\u2019t know. I\u2019m not in the facility. No idea. But because of those things and different people I know around the league that know A.J. a little bit . . .what I\u2019ve gathered is, [he] wants to be traded, but I also think like he wants to be traded to specific places.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI think New England<\/a> would make a lot of sense because of his history [with coach Mike] Vrabel. I think that\u2019s obvious, right? And I think he even said he grew up a Patriots<\/a> fan, if I\u2019m correct. So that would be like two-fold situation. But really because [G.M. Howie Roseman\u2019s] not shutting it down. That\u2019s a big thing. And he\u2019s gonna have a lot of strategy behind it. He\u2019s gonna get something he wants by \u2014 I think it\u2019s going to come to a point where he realized last year was very difficult.<\/p>\n

At one point, Foles was on the fence about trading Brown, then off again, but it appears he may now be leaning 50-50 on whether A.J. Brown will eventually pack his bags for another city.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do think he\u2019ll get traded before the start of the season. Not sure when. I do think the New England Patriots make a lot of sense.\u201d<\/p>\n
