The 202 NFL Draft is just a week away, and with that comes my Washington Commanders draft board. Like I do each year, I have ranked my prospects using the value vs. need approach. Like last year, I have included my color-coded prospect index chart that I have been developing over the past few months.<\/p>\n
Below is the chart with my draft rankings for the seven positional groups that I view as team needs heading into this draft. My big board for pick 7 and 71 will come from these rankings, however I will include some scenarios if we were to add additional picks in rounds two and four.<\/p>\n
Despite not seeing quarterback, tight end, guard, and defensive tackle on this chart, Adam Peters may very well take one of those positions as more of a developmental player later on in the draft, or as an undrafted free agent.<\/p>\n
In this chart and on my Big Board, I really chose to focus on draft prospects that I would target with top 100 picks. The gray shades below represent players who could be drafted later on depending on how our staff may view them, but the big focus here is BLUE, GREEN, PURPLE and ORANGE.<\/p>\n
You will also see the KEY at the bottom right of the chart. Something I wanted to highlight here are prospects in RED. These are prospects who either have a medical concern or off-field\/character concerns that could cause them to drop.<\/p>\n

Here is a mock draft with no trade-back, sticking at both 7 and 71 and using my board. The pick at 7 was an easy one for me as Love was the top player on my board at the time of the pick. This is how the top six picks played out.<\/p>\n
