If the Eagles had their way, my guess is they’d draft an offensive tackle. Both are high-upside linemen who could become potential Lane Johnson replacements with development. Proctor has the added benefit of being able to swing inside to guard early in his career. Both are under 22 years old and come from programs the Eagles trust. (Five of the Eagles’ last six first-round picks came from Alabama or Georgia.) The question is whether they’ll slip to a territory for the Eagles. Dane Brugler projected Freeling to go No. 17 to the Detroit Lions and Proctor to fall to the Eagles at No. 23. Howie Roseman hasn’t drafted an offensive lineman in the first round since 2019. He takes pride in building along the line of scrimmage. You can’t dictate the board, but it would make sense for Roseman to put his philosophy into action.

Freeling a Draft – Iggles Blitz
OT Kadyn Proctor could also be a target. He’s 6-7, 352 and has good feet. The knock on Proctor is that he got up in the 380 to 390 range this season and didn’t play to his full potential. Put on his tape against little R Mason Thomas and you’ll see some issues. Proctor got in shape for the Combine and looked great. If his NFL team can keep the weight down, he could be a very good OT. I don’t think he’s got the same ceiling as Freeling, but he is unique due to his combination of size and footwork. Some think Proctor could be a dominant OG. If the Eagles took him, they could have him compete for the RG job as a rookie and then move to RT whenver Lane retires. Proctor will likely go in the teens. A month ago there was some thought he might make it to 23, but that seems less likely. If Freeling goes first, Proctor could become the apple of Howie’s eye.

<a href="http://Round 1-23: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama The Eagles find their Lane Johnson replacement in Round 1. Prosecutors claim Jeffery, 36, then obtained a new car insurance policy on Sept. 24 and filed a false claim, in which he admitted to the crash but claimed it took place on Sept. 28, so the damages would’ve been covered. A different demand of skillsets, if you will. Eagles Executive Vice President/General Manager Howie Roseman understands all of the above, so as he digs into the final week of preparation for the 2026 NFL Draft, he has that in mind: The team has a new offensive coordinator in Sean Mannion, and with that any player he brings in via the Draft – and, for that matter, via free agency and all of the moves made to this point – must take into consideration what the new iteration of the Eagles offense requires of players. How much?
