Parker, EDGE, Clemson

How do you spell rebuild? By trading away every single one of your talented players, even incurring a $99 million dead cap hit in the process. By accumulating 11 draft picks in 2026, including seven picks (seven!) in the top 95, and two picks in the first round.

The Miami Dolphins are sure to be the most exciting team in the draft this year. They are giving me real 2013 Philadelphia 76ers vibes. And just like the Sixers, I trust the process of Miami screwing things up and bungling the picks, just as they did their QB1 situation.

So, what do you do when you have seven picks in the first 3 rounds (one of those 3rd rounders coming courtesy of Philly) and you need an infusion of talent across the entire roster? You go BPA.

With the 11th overall pick of this mock draft, the Dolphins already selected WR Jordyn Tyson. (A little high for my taste, but he is a baller.) As a disciple of Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles draft philosophy, I believe that everything begins in the trenches. Yes, I want to go BPA, but I’m going BPA on the lines. WR is a luxury when your QB is running for his life. Not to mention that the Dolphins’ identity next year will be in their run game. Give me an OT and give me an EDGE in the 1st Rd. In this mock draft, there was an early run on OTs, so much so that the Eagles had to reach for Max Iheanachor at #23. But on the defensive side, one of my favorite players is still available, and I’m running to the podium.

With the 30th overall pick in the 2026 Bleeding Green Nation community mock draft, the Miami Dolphins select … T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson

Parker is a bull in every sense. He plays with heavy hands and elite functional strength. His bull rush displaces grown men. He can rush from the edge or he can kick inside. Parker is a disciplined run defender. He owns the C-gap, sets a firm edge, collapses the pocket, and rarely gets washed out of plays. While he’s viewed more as a power rusher, his 1.61-second 10-yard split at the Combine proved he has the explosive “get-off” to win the corner when tackles over-anticipate the bull rush. He has 21.5 career sacks, 41.5 TFLs, and 6 forced fumbles. Parker broke Myles Murphy’s freshman TFL record at Clemson.

There is a reason he’s still available at the bottom of the 1st, and not in conversation with the elite rushers like Rasheed Bailey, Rueben Bain Jr., and Arvell Reese. He had an inconsistent final season, especially compared to his 2024 campaign. He can occasionally be “one-note” with his pass-rush plan and needs to develop a more consistent counter-move once his initial power rush is stalled. He can’t bend the edge in the way you want from an elite rusher. Still, I think he is being undervalued this year. He comes from a “pro-style” defensive factory, meaning his transition to a complex NFL scheme will be significantly faster than a raw project from a smaller school. Also, he was one of Daniel Jeremiah’s stand outs from Senior Bowl this year.

With Miami stripping the roster to the studs, it is time to build up the foundation. Parker provides Day 1 utility. He is a pro-ready run defender who won’t be a liability on first and second downs, allowing the Dolphins to stay in their base nickel packages more effectively. Miami recently drafted Chop Robinson to handle the other side. Parker provides the thunder to Chop’s lightning. While Chop bends around the edge with speed, Parker collapses the pocket, forcing quarterbacks to step up into a collapsing wall rather than escaping through the interior.

Miami is building something for the future in this draft. This is a team that was as soft as an orange-hued Florida sunset in the McDonald tenure. Now it falls on first-time head coach Jeff Hafley to make this roster toughen up and find a new identity. I’m sorry I won’t be able to help them with the rest of their picks this year, but at least they got a winner with this one.

2026 BGN Mock Draft Order

1) Raiders (Mailata_in_a_Miata): Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
2) Jets (Dr.MidnightGreen): Arvell Reese, EDGE, Ohio State
3) Cardinals (grantspectations): Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
4) Titans (DrBubbles): Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
5) Giants (ablesser88): Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
6) Browns (kjb304): Olaivavega Ioane, OG, Penn State
7) Commanders (Jerry Robinson 56): Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
8) Saints (VetStadiumSection358): David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech
9) Chiefs (Hoosinole): Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
10) Bengals (chuckelberryfinn): Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami
11) Dolphins (phillyfan): Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
12) Cowboys (ejdubya): Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami
13) Rams (All_Hail_Howie): Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
14) Ravens (215T1LL1D1e): Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia
15) Buccaneers (pascofljoe): Makai Lemon, WR, USC
16) Jets (Euegene11): Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama
17) Lions (BCHaas): Blake Miller, OT, Clemson
18) Vikings (The Player Formerly Known as Mousecop): Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon
19) Panthers (jaynase): Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
20) Cowboys (Cravin’ LeBlanc): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
21) Steelers (iam4theBirdz): Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn
22) Chargers (Aint1stULast): Kadyn Proctor, OL, Alabama
23) Eagles (Philly21): Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State
24) Browns (FierceDisc65): Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah
25) Bears (jazztafari): Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri
26) Bills (PhillyTexan): Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State
27) 49ers (granthill7): Omar Cooper Jr. WR, Indiana
28) Texans (CrackTheEaglesNut): Emmanuel Pregnon, OG, Oregon
29) Chiefs (z): Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M
30) Dolphins (Booth12): T.J.
