The Miami Dolphins have done their homework on one of the top wide receivers in the upcoming NFL Draft. However, the weekend mega-trade might have impacted their chances of landing him. <\/p>\n

The New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals pulled off a massive trade on the eve of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Bengals, who held the No. 10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, sent the pick to the Giants for All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence. <\/p>\n

At first glance, that might not seem like something that would matter to fans of the Miami Dolphins since it didn\u2019t involve the team. <\/p>\n

However, holding pick No. 11 in the draft, the team now standing directly in front of them \u2014 the Giants \u2014 are a direct threat to snag a player that the Dolphins have kicked the tires on recently \u2014 Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson. <\/p>\n

Tyson is arguably, at least when healthy, the top playmaking wide receiver in this draft. With plus size \u2014 6-2, 203 pounds \u2014 and explosiveness of a potential WR1, he appears to have healed from the hamstring injury that limited him in 2025 and seemed to have carried over into the offseason. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe showed the twitch, explosiveness and leaping ability we all saw in the fall,\u201d ESPN insider Pete Thamel quoted a source<\/a> as saying of Tyson. \u201cHe showed he\u2019s healthy and still explosive, which is all he needed to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it appears as though the Giants have a significant interest in Tyson, and with two picks in the top ten \u2014 No. 5 and 10 \u2014 they\u2019re in position to potentially snag him with at least the second of their picks. <\/p>\n

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo<\/a>, Giants GM Joe Schoen flew to Arizona to attend Tyson\u2019s workout and had dinner with him the night before. Oh, and Schoen and at Tyson\u2019s workout. <\/p>\n

So, if the Dolphins are going to pull the trigger on Tyson, it sounds like there\u2019s a strong chance that staying at No. 11 won\u2019t get it done. And with plenty of roster needs to fill, it doesn\u2019t seem to make sense to part with a significant draft pick to try to go get him. <\/p>\n
