However, the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"Giants\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/new-york-giants\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"230630\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Giants<\/a> also like Tyson.<\/p>\n<p>However, all might not be lost for the Rams in terms of landing Tyson, if he is indeed a target.<\/p>\n<p>Rams Get Promising Alternative Draft Outlook<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5916005\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5916005\" data-lazy-load=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776584721_568_GettyImages-2187750905_1fa4aa-e1776482417155.jpg\" alt=\"Jordyn Tyson, Los Angeles Rams\" width=\"780\" height=\"440\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-5916005\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">GettyJordyn Tyson #0 of the Arizona State Sun Devils looks on before a game against the Arizona Wildcats.<\/p>\n<p>Tyson was already <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MikeGarafolo\/status\/2045663632126615957\" rel=\"nofollow\">unlikely to make it<\/a> to the Rams at 13th overall, and the LA\u2019s appetite for a trade to move up is unknown.<\/p>\n<p>The <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" title=\"Giants\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/new-york-giants\/\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"230631\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Giants<\/a> might not be the team they need to worry themselves over, though.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s also a scenario in which the NYG get their OL (<a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/houston-texans\/stroud-draft-miami-mauigoa-roster\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">[Francis] Mauigoa<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/mcvay-draft-fano-terrell-roster-havenstein-falcons\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">[Spencer] Fano<\/a>) at 5 and get DS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/caleb-downs-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">[Caleb] Downs<\/a> at 10!\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/McShay13\/status\/2045684291481309555\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">The Ringer\u2019s Todd McShay posted<\/a> on X, adding another layer of speculation.<\/p>\n<p>That would be close to ideal for the Rams if they are targeting Tyson. He posted 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns on 158 receptions over the past four seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams would still need the WR-needy <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/miami-dolphins\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miami Dolphins<\/a> to pass on Tyson.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/dallas-cowboys\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a> at No. 12, the Rams are already in good shape at wide receiver with <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/puka-nacua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Puka Nacua<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/davante-adams\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Davante Adams<\/a>. LA also has productive contributors in <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/jordan-whittington\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jordan Whittington<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/xavier-smith\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Xavier Smith<\/a>, and they drafted <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/konata-mumpfield\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Konata Mumpfield<\/a> last offseason.<\/p>\n<p>Nacua is due for an extension, but he has battled injuries. There were questions about his durability and toughness. The Rams emerged as a potential landing spot with their visit to see his workout.<\/p>\n<p>The Giants trade, combined with their interest in Tyson, led to doubts he would be there for LA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAaaaand there goes Jordyn Tyson in the top-10,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/QBsMVP\/status\/2045663332334481838\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Underdog\u2019s Sosa Kremenjas posted<\/a> on X on April 18 in reaction to the news that the Giants recently met with Tyson for dinner the night before his workout, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MikeGarafolo\/status\/2045661917054734778\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">per NFL Network\u2019s Mike Garafolo<\/a>. \u201cRams are gonna need to move up to No. 6 or 7 if he even makes it past 5, but the chances of drafting Jordyn Tyson just nosedived.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/camdasilva\/status\/2045672919641079816\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">The Rams Wire\u2019s Cameron Dasilva reacted<\/a> more broadly, posting that \u201cThe Rams\u2019 chances of landing a top WR just plummeted,\u201d on X.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams attended Tyson\u2019s workout for teams. The Giants, who also own the fifth overall pick of the draft, have been most prominently linked to Tyson. That stands out with the draft less than one week away.<\/p>\n<p>Rams Could Still Land \u2018Top\u2019 WR in 2026 Draft<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5905633\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5905633\" data-lazy-load=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/GettyImages-2247395354-e1776112689295.jpg\" alt=\"Makai Lemon, Los Angeles Rams\" width=\"780\" height=\"439\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-5905633\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">GettyMakai Lemon #6 of the Southern California Trojans reacts after his touchdown against the Iowa Hawkeyes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/draft2026\/story\/_\/id\/48488008\/2026-nfl-draft-mock-scouts-top-10-predictions-picks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">ESPN projected<\/a> former Ohio State star <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/boston-interest-draft-adams-nacua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carnell Tate<\/a> to come off the board to the Giants with the fifth pick before their trade up for the 10th selection.<\/p>\n<p>If Tyson has leapfrogged Tate, that could push the latter to the Dolphins.<\/p>\n<p>In that scenario, the Rams could come away with USC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/lemon-draft-ai-adams-nacua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Makai Lemon<\/a>. Some consider him the top WR prospect in this class.
