A trade rumor involving the New York Jets<\/a> could lead to calls from several teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles<\/a>, Washington Commanders<\/a> and Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson, teams are planning on making a call<\/a> to the Jets to inquire about a trade for wide receiver Garrett Wilson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Robinson does note, however, that there isn’t any indication the Jets are willing to trade the star wideout, but with some of the moves New York<\/a> has made since last season, nothing should be considered off the table.<\/p>\n

“That said, I definitely got a sense when I was working on the\u00a0All-Juice Team\u00a0and speaking to a lot of front offices that Wilson is going to draw some ‘check-in’ calls before, during or after the draft from teams that miss out on a preferred wide receiver target,” Robinson reported.<\/p>\n

Wilson had a down season in 2025, but that was because of injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the three years prior, the former No. 10 overall pick showed he can be a No. 1 wide receiver after three straight seasons with over 1,000 yards despite a poor quarterback situation in two of those three campaigns.<\/p>\n

If given a better situation under center, Wilson could be propelled to new heights.<\/p>\n

Why Jets could trade Wilson<\/p>\n

Should the Jets trade Wilson?<\/p>\n

No, because New York is likely to be bringing in a young quarterback, either this year or next, and the team needs all the help it can get for that player. Right now, New York needs to add a wide receiver, not subtract one.<\/p>\n

But nobody thought the Jets would deal Quinnen Williams<\/a> and Sauce Gardner<\/a> before the trade deadline last year, yet those two deals happened. The trade of Jermaine Johnson<\/a> was relatively surprising, also.<\/p>\n

As a result, nothing should be considered impossible in New York.<\/p>\n

Eagles, Commanders, Chiefs could have interest<\/p>\n

All three teams have or could have a need at wide receiver.<\/p>\n

When it comes to the Eagles, trade rumors have swirled<\/a> around A.J. Brown<\/a> the entire offseason and if they do end up trading him, a replacement is needed.<\/p>\n

In Kansas City<\/a>, the Chiefs are lacking depth behind Rashee Rice<\/a>. The jury is still out on Xavier Worthy<\/a> after a disappointing 2025 campaign and the depth behind those two isn’t great.<\/p>\n

The Commanders still haven’t addressed their need for an upgrade across from Terry McLaurin<\/a> and there’s no telling if Brandon Aiyuk is ever coming<\/a> to Washington. Even if he does, relying on him as a No. 2 is risky.<\/p>\n
