The Seattle Seahawks<\/a> come into the 2026 NFL Draft with the least amount of picks of any NFL team. They own picks 32, 64, 96, and 188.<\/p>\n

However, the Seahawks do not love this draft class<\/a>. A massive trade down seems unlikely. Perhaps the Seahawks have some players they are looking to move off their roster for fresh talent.<\/p>\n

One of those players could be Olu Oluwatimi<\/a>. Brady Henderson, Seahawks insider for ESPN, appeared on Seahawks commentator Rob Staton\u2019s podcast to discuss this possibility<\/a> among many other topics.<\/p>\n

Henderson said, \u201cI would not discount the possibility of Seattle adding a draft pick by trading somebody on their roster, and Olu Oluwatimi is the guy that comes to mind. I would not be surprised at all if they end up trading him either before the draft or maybe on Day 3, kind of like they did with Sam Howell<\/a> a few years ago, and you pick up a Day 3 pick that way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seattle Seahawks May Move Players Over Trading Back\"Seattle<\/p>\n

GettyOluwatimi started for the Seahawks in the second half of 2024 after Connor Williams retired.<\/p>\n

The Seahawks moved<\/a> Howell and pick 172 in last year\u2019s draft for pick 142. They drafted Rylie Mills<\/a> with that selection.<\/p>\n

Oluwatimi has experience as a starting center in the NFL, so a team looking to add depth or competition at center would absolutely be interested in adding him in their offensive line room.<\/p>\n

Henderson noted that a trade back from 32 was also unlikely as a supporting factor of moving depth for picks.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cI think they\u2019re going to end up with more than four picks; I would caution people against assuming they\u2019re going to be able to find a trade partner at 32.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the narrative flowing that this is a weak draft class, an extremely enticing offer to move down from pick 32 seems like a distant reality. However, the history of Seahawks general manager John Schneider has with trading back in the NFL Draft is well known among Seahawks fans. Obviously, they are exploring all possibilities to acquire more draft picks.<\/p>\n

Oluwatimi Offers Starting Experience\"Olu<\/p>\n

GettyOluwatimi has started 13 games in his NFL career.<\/p>\n

Oluwatimi enters his fourth year in the NFL and the final year of his rookie contract. The Seahawks selected him in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft as a former starter at the University of Michigan in college.<\/p>\n

He has started 13 games out of a possible 36 games where he was available in the NFL. Notably, Oluwatimi became the starter after Connor Williams<\/a> retired from the NFL midway through the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, his entrance into the starting lineup signifies a positive change in the Seahawks offensive line play. However, Oluwatimi lost the starting job in the offseason to Jalen Sundell<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Seahawks enter 2026 with a shocking amount of offensive line continuity. There exist rumors that they will also replace Anthony Bradford<\/a> in the NFL Draft. They\u2019ve brought<\/a> in guards for their top 30 visits.<\/p>\n

If the Seahawks move Oluwatimi, their only center on the roster is Federico Maranges.<\/a> He is an undrafted free agent from the 2025 class and signed with the practice squad prior to last season.<\/p>\n
