This is a pivotal event for the New Orleans Saints as they attempt to carry their momentum from last year and have another elite class. Jordyn Tyson has been a name dominating draft conversations for a week, and the Saints kick off the draft by scooping him up.

There wasn’t any particular theme heading into this draft. The point has come where it’s time to just see options and the potential prospects the Saints may select.

With that said, here’s another seven-round mock draft for the Saints.

It’s fair to be cautious, but Jordyn Tyson is an ideal selection for the Saints at pick eight1:8- Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

Jordyn Tyson proved he’s 100% healthy at his private workout last week. So, why shouldn’t he be an option here? Yes, he has a lengthy injury history, but his prowess as a route runner, elite athleticism, and ability to take over a game makes him worth the risk. He would pair with Chris Olave to form a dynamic tandem for Tyler Shough in 2026.

2:42- Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech

Jacob Rodriguez would be a day-one replacement for Demario Davis. Obviously, he won’t reach that level immediately, but his leadership, ability to force turnovers, and clean fundamentals make him a day-one starter with high upside. Rodriguez was highly productive at Texas Tech in 2025 with 128 tackles, seven forced fumbles, and four interceptions. He would be an every-down contributor for the Saints and would instantly elevate Brandon Staley’s defense.

3:73- Chandler Rivers, CB, Duke

Chandler Rivers doesn’t have an elite frame (five-foot-nine, 185 pounds), but compensates with his versatility, fundamentals, and mentality. Rivers has outside cornerback and slot experience, meaning he could help fill in Alontae Taylor’s role. He’s a perfect fit on the defense and could be the versatile chess piece Staley needs.

Other selections4:132- Jeremiah Wright- G, Auburn4:136- Justin Joly, TE, NC-State5:150- Max Llewellyn, EDGE, Iowa5:172- Michael Taffe, S, Texas6:190- Lewis Bond, WR, Boston CollegeAdd us as a preferred source on GoogleFollow

It’s almost time; the 2026 NFL Draft is this week.
