If you\u2019re of a certain age, the Odell Beckham Jr. one-handed catch for the New York Giants<\/a> that fateful November night in 2014 plays in your head on a loop. It’s certainly on television often enough.<\/p>\n

Well, the receiver and the team are apparently trying to see about a replay.<\/p>\n

Beckham<\/a>, 33 years old and out of football entirely last season, is trying to return to the Giants. And the club is playing along, giving him a full-on workout Monday afternoon, Outkick has confirmed.<\/p>\n

Beckham hoping for Giants return<\/p>\n

Beckham was at the club\u2019s New Jersey facility for a physical, the New York Post first reported. And as long as he was there, Beckahm also worked out for assorted player personnel and coaching staffers.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, the details are sketchy.<\/p>\n

That means we\u2019re not yet certain how Beckham performed because the Giants don\u2019t advertise such information.<\/p>\n

But this much is certain: There is interest by both parties, and if Beckham is in the kind of shape his representation believes he is \u2013 he\u2019s healthy, at minimum, and has been working out for such a golden opportunity \u2013 then that clears significant obstacles.<\/p>\n

This sounds crazy to people who thought Beckham\u2019s injury plagued career was over after 2024, but he legitimately might get another shot with the Giants at some point.<\/p>\n

Harbaugh-Beckham reunion possibility<\/p>\n

So, how?<\/p>\n

And why?<\/p>\n

Well, Beckham met with Giants head coach John Harbaugh at the NFL annual meetings in Arizona three weeks ago. The veteran receiver played for Harbaugh in 2023 with the Ravens.<\/p>\n

That season obviously left both men appreciating the other as Beckham caught 35 passes for 565 yards (16.1 yard per catch average) with three touchdowns.<\/p>\n

More importantly, Harbaugh appreciated Beckham as a competitor.<\/p>\n

That feeling hasn\u2019t necessarily been shared by other NFL teams and coaches.<\/p>\n

Beckham signed with the Miami Dolphins in 2024 and was injured most of the offseason and into the regular season. He played only nine games, caught only nine passes and was cut the second week in December as the team was making a push for the postseason.<\/p>\n

Even the Giants, who drafted Beckham in 2014 with the 12th overall selection, traded him to the Brown before the 2019 season. The Browns eventually released Beckham amid a controversy about his relationship with quarterback Baker Mayfield<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Beckham’s trip around the NFL<\/p>\n

He later signed with the Rams, won a Super Bowl, but tore his ACL in the team\u2019s Super Bowl win.<\/p>\n

None of that, nor the fact Beckham missed all of 2025, bothers Harbaugh.<\/p>\n

We know this because when the Ravens signed Beckham in 2023 it came after the receiver missed all of 2022 because he was rehabilitating from his knee injury suffered in the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

So Harbaugh and Beckham, apparently comfortable with exploring a do-over, might eventually be looking for the next big thing: Another iconic Odell Beckham Jr. catch for the Giants.<\/p>\n
