This time, though, the Rams could be looking to put the finishing touches on what they believe is a Super Bowl-ready roster.<\/p>\n<p>Rams Exploring Trade Options: Report<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5834248\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5834248\" data-lazy-load=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776744956_911_GettyImages-1254328466-6-e1773628580132.jpg\" alt=\"Les Snead, Los Angeles Rams\" width=\"780\" height=\"439\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-5834248\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">GettyLos Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead recalls a story about the time the team shared a Seattle hotel with a furry convention..<\/p>\n<p>The Rams\u2019 trade for <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/trent-mcduffie\/\" title=\"Trent McDuffie\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"232561\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trent McDuffie<\/a> armed the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/kansas-city-chiefs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> with a second first-round pick, 29th overall. However, LA retained the 13th overall pick it received from the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/atlanta-falcons\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atlanta Falcons<\/a> during the 2025 draft.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Snead and the Rams could be ready to make another move.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than taking another step back, Sports Illustrated\u2019s Albert Breer reported on the Rams\u2019 interest in moving up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter trading for Trent McDuffie trade, the Rams are working with a lower number of picks than they normally do, so I\u2019d expect GM <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/snead-styles-draft-trade-pitch-giants\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Les Snead<\/a> and COO <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/nacua-rehab-lawsuit-mcvay-snead-comments\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tony Pastoors<\/a> to work the phones to move around some,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/albert-breer-2026-nfl-draft-needs-every-team-reveal-compelling-theme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Breer wrote<\/a> on April 20.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Rams have at least sniffed around on a trade-up. I wouldn\u2019t count on it, but \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Breer listed several positions the Rams could stand to bolster in the draft, including cornerback and wide receiver.<\/p>\n<p>That is despite trading for McDuffie and signing his former Chiefs teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/jaylen-watson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jaylen Watson<\/a> in free agency. LA was linked to corners earlier in the draft process and has continued doing research.<\/p>\n<p>They have also explored the various wide receivers at the top of the class.<\/p>\n<p>Mixed Signals Emerging on Rams Draft Plans<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5916005\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5916005\" data-lazy-load=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776744956_483_GettyImages-2187750905_1fa4aa-e1776482417155.jpg\" alt=\"Jordyn Tyson, Los Angeles Rams\" width=\"780\" height=\"440\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-5916005\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">GettyJordyn Tyson #0 of the Arizona State Sun Devils looks on before a game against the Arizona Wildcats.<\/p>\n<p>Breer noted that before the nugget about the Rams\u2019 trade interest, many around the NFL suspect Snead and head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/garoppolo-bad-news-mcvay-comments-stafford-bennett\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sean McVay<\/a> have a specific position in mind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Rams are working with a lower number of picks than they normally do, so I\u2019d expect GM Les Snead and COO Tony Pastoors to work the phones to move around some. But at 13, most across the league expect the Rams to take a receiver,\u201d Breer wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/davante-adams\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Davante Adams<\/a> is 33 and because <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/puka-nacua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Puka Nacua<\/a>\u2014presuming he gets his house in order\u2014is going to be very expensive soon (meaning they\u2019ll need a more affordable option on the roster).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Breer pointed to popular speculative targets <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/lemon-draft-ai-adams-nacua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Makai Lemon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/boston-interest-draft-adams-nacua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Omar Cooper Jr.<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/giants-bengals-lawrence-trade-draft-update-tyson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jordan Tyson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He compared the latter to <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/tetairoa-mcmillan\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tetairoa McMillan<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/carolina-panthers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carolina Panthers<\/a>, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year. However, conflicting reports on what position the Rams could have in mind have also emerged.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BGMediaOnSI\/status\/2046215209442787407\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Turf Show Times\u2019 Blaine Grisak cited<\/a> The Ringer\u2019s Todd McShay saying that he expects the Rams to wait until Round\u00a0 2 to add a receiver.<\/p>\n<p>Grisak urged fans to \u201cget ready for the smoke(screens).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of my favorite things this time of the year is how different reports contradict each other,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BGMediaOnSI\/status\/2046244764941467746\" rel=\"nofollow\">Grisak said<\/a> in another post. \u201cJust this morning, one report says Rams will wait on WR until the second round.
