The Rams did that already this offseason, acquiring <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/trent-mcduffie\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Trent McDuffie<\/a> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/kansas-city-chiefs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>. But Snead also has a history of trades moving up and down, leaving a move for Love in play.<\/p>\n<p>Sports Illustrated\u2019s Conor Orr suggested a hypothetical trade package involving the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/tennessee-titans\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tennessee Titans<\/a>, who currently own the fourth-overall pick.<\/p>\n<p>Orr called it a \u201cnightmare scenario\u201d for Rams NFC West rival, the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/arizona-cardinals\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arizona Cardinals<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rams get:<\/p>\n<p>2026 first-round pick (No. 4 overall)<\/p>\n<p>Titans get:<\/p>\n<p>2026 first-round pick (No. 13 overall)<br \/>\n2026 second-round pick (No. 61 overall)<br \/>\n2026 third-round pick (No. 93 overall)<br \/>\n2027 first-round pick<\/p>\n<p>Orr cited the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ninersnation.com\/san-francisco-49ers-news\/153096\/49ers-christian-mccaffrey-panthers-rams-trade\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rams\u2019 previous interest<\/a> in acquiring <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/christian-mccaffrey\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christian McCaffrey<\/a> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/carolina-panthers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Carolina Panthers<\/a> before the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/san-francisco-49ers\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">San Francisco 49ers<\/a> landed him.<\/p>\n<p>Love may not be McCaffrey, but he is in the same mold as a dynamic dual-threat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a nightmare scenario for the Cardinals, who would not trade their own top-five pick within the division but have now watched Les Snead swoop up to nab the top offensive playmaker in the draft,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/mock-draft-2026-conor-orr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Orr wrote<\/a> on April 21.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLove is a physical back who lives for outside zone (which is a small part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/los-angeles-rams\/snead-trade-rumor-draft-lemon-tyson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">[Sean] McVay<\/a> offensive lexicon but showcases his patience and brilliance) and can help protect <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/matthew-stafford\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matthew Stafford<\/a> on the back end. While there isn\u2019t necessarily a game-changing receiver that fits into the Rams\u2019 universe, Love, in what could be Stafford\u2019s final season, may conquer all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Love finished his collegiate career with 2,882 yards and 36 touchdowns on 433 carries, adding 594 yards and 6 TDs on 63 receptions for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.<\/p>\n<p>Rams Could Pull Off \u2018Nightmare\u2019 Move<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5920375\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5920375\" data-lazy-load=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776789962_811_GettyImages-2242431619_eb2e6f-e1776649881189.jpg\" alt=\"Jeremiyah Love\" width=\"780\" height=\"439\"\/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-5920375\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">GettyJeremiyah Love #4 of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish celebrates a touchdown against the USC Trojans.<\/p>\n<p>The Rams\u2019 backfield already boasts <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/kyren-williams\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kyren Williams<\/a>, and has used draft picks in back-to-back years on <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/blake-corum\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Blake Corum<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/jarquez-hunter\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jarquez Hunter<\/a>, the latter of whom hardly saw the field as a rookie this past season.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Love is viewed as a special prospect, and the flashes from <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nfl\/las-vegas-raiders\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> runner <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nfl\/player\/ashton-jeanty\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ashton Jeanty<\/a> only solidified the belief that certain RBs can still be drafted early.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLove is an explosive athlete with a remarkable blend of balance and burst to be dynamic as both a runner and in the passing game,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/interactive\/the-beast-2026\/player\/jeremiyah-love-notre-dame-running-back\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Athletic\u2019s Dane Brugler wrote<\/a> in his \u201cThe Beast\u201d draft guide. \u201cHe is one of the most talented players in the 2026 draft class and projects as a high-upside NFL weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the Cardinals own the third overall pick.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona could very well <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fitzandwhit\/status\/2046593442235425184\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">choose to bring Love into their group<\/a>. The good news is that the Rams would know before needing to finalize a deal with the Titans.
