For the Dallas Cowboys, it\u2019s the famed Tony Dorsett<\/a>, who was drafted by the Cowboys back in 1977 as the second overall pick.<\/p>\n Dallas Cowboys Legend Tony Dorsett to Present Team\u2019s Draft Picks<\/p>\n Dorsett makes sense to present for the Cowboys, because not only is he a legend from the franchise, but he was also a star running back from the University of Pittsburgh, where the draft is taking place. The Dallas Cowboys traded up with the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> to get him in the draft.<\/p>\n The player spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the Cowboys before being traded to the Denver Broncos<\/a> to round out his final season in the NFL. With the league, he played a total of 173 games.<\/p>\n \u201cTo be a running back in this league at 183 pounds, sometimes I wonder how I played this long,\u201d Dorsett said, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m the second-leading rusher and I played 12 seasons when at one point I thought I would only play five. Patrik Walker of the team\u2019s official website<\/a> has some thoughts.\u00a0He wants the team to take Mansoor Delane, a cornerback, out of LSU with their No. 12 pick. He doesn\u2019t leave any questions about his pick, either.<\/p>\n \u201cDelane falling out of top-10 is a coup and I\u2019m not looking a gift horse in the mouth,\u201d he states in the piece. \u201cHe\u2019s gotten better every single season in college, be it at Virginia Tech or following his transfer to LSU.\u201d<\/p>\n Walker adds that Delane<\/a> is \u201ctelepathic in how he reads routes, and his athleticism makes him elite in zone while his physicality allows him to excel in press man, and with the speed to stay on the hip of speedy WRs.\u201d<\/p>\n Sometimes, a player losing draft stock is a good thing, and that\u2019s the case with Delane.
